And the last giveaway is a ship upgrade token - one per account.

Thanks again mate. :D

Somehow I'm not surprised. There were people calling Omega from the very beginning, even though it's the worst design of the bunch. Again, I think people were voting based on the name instead of the design.

I didn't vote in the contest due to it being a Federation ship, got way too many of those.

Looking at the options I would have chosen Gamma or Epsilon as more carrier like.

Actually, I think they voted based on what look most like that monstrosity they call the Typhoon in the game now. I did vote Omega in the last round due to I personally like it better than the Alpha. I did vote for a couple of the losers over the voting period. Personally, I would have liked Gamma.

This may be a silly question, but how do I use my token? I do have a T-5 ship.

Have the token on your character (bank or inventory) and then go to the ship selection officer. There will be an upgrade option/button if the ship can be upgraded to T5U.

I'm guessing my assault cruiser can't be upgraded, then. Is there a list of upgradable classes?

Generally if it's a C-store/lockbox ship or a fleet ship it can be upgraded. If it's a standard ship you get at lvl 40 then you can't. If you check the STO wiki ( http://sto.gamepedia.com/Playable_starship ) the ships with a tick next to them can be upgraded.

So, not saying any kind of real spoilers, but Season 11 will be either incredibly awesome or incredibly stupid. I'm leaning to the former based on "Sunrise"

If it's the free ship they aren't technically a T5 ship, more like a T4.5 ship as you get them at Bridger General, not Lieutenant General.

Pretty much any C-store or lock box ship (Lvl 50 T5) can be upgraded to T5U.

Yeah, looks like I'm still going for the Fleet Assault Cruiser Refit. I should be able to upgrade it as soon as I get it, though.

Now I have to decide if I should upgrade my Excelsior, or try for the Fleet Assault Cruiser Refit. I like the FACR's stats better, but the flee ship modules are taking forever...

Might as well pick them up for the admiralty system.

I wouldn't waste my zen on a T5 ship unless you just like the look of the Reagent. Give it six months and a T6 version will probably come along, possibly with pilot traits as we haven't had a pilot cruiser yet.

I did consider the T6 Excelsior because... well just because I wanted an Excelsior. But its just way too engineer focused for my Engineering main character. If I can make a Defiant survivable I don't need that many Engineering BOffs! But a free T5U Excelsior may be handy for my Tac Delta character...

There are fleet modules on the exchange if you have the EC spare... (~10 mil last I looked)

I'm trying to grind dilithium to trade for zen to buy modules. Besides, I don't need the ACR to get the FACR.

They're 14 mil now. I could probably get 14 mil, but I've been buying stuff to put toward fleet projects so that I can get that 20k FCs to buy the FACR.

EDIT: I think I'll upgrade my Excelsior now and keep working toward the FACR or a T6 ship. I've got time to decide which one.

Besides getting stuck loading into certain ground areas and Mine Trap and Into the Breech being at least temporarily removed, I like season 11 so far. The "I'm Leeta of the ISS Enterprise" cutscene will probably go down in infamy though, after everyone does the Badlands BZ enough times. Personally it started to get on my nerves the second time the ISS Enterprise spawned.

It was pretty annoying earlier today getting stuck in a loading screen as I received a PM at exactly the same time I went into a loading screen that took 10 mins to complete. It wasn't because of network lag, but some bug that shows up for some people when beaming to DS9, New Romulus ground, or ESD (possibly other zones). By the time I loaded in, the chat had cleared itself....and I had missed the pm....doh!

The Admiralty system is something I'm pretty sure I'll come to like even more than I do now, as it's another way of doing stuff in STO without actually doing stuff. Huzzah! It was also rather amusing reclaiming and decommissioning ships just to get them added to the Admiralty roster.

I didn't get a chance to return to the battlezone, though I did see in chat people talking about how they didn't get enough marks/dilithium even though they had 100% participation. That is apparently fixed now, though I have yet to see it for myself as I've been too lazy and tired since getting over a cold.

Big News!!!

http://www.arcgames.com/en/games/st...-star-trek-online:-star-trek-tv-show-giveaway
A brand new Star Trek TV show was just announced today by CBS, and everyone here at Cryptic Studios and Perfect World couldn’t be happier. As lifelong fans of the show, we’ve been waiting with bated breath for our next chance to enjoy weekly episodes of a new ship and crew facing the outer reaches of the final frontier.

In celebration of this event Star Trek Online will be offering a free promotion that features the last television show that was live, Enterprise, as well as an in-game bonus.

  • Free Enterprise Era Bundle Pack
    • This pack includes the NX Enterprise starter ship, the standard and mirror variant uniforms, and the T’Pol jumpsuit.
It will be available as a free account unlock from today at 10:30am through Wednesday November 4th at 10:30am.
  • Bonus XP Week
    • We will be running a bonus XP week from today at 10:30am through Monday November 9th at 10:30am.
I’m certain everyone is as excited as we are for the new show, and I look forward to seeing everyone enjoying their new items in game!
And in other news, some details on the Defiant (and BoP and Romulan BoP) pack. I'll say this for the Valiant, it's not quite as ugly as the pilot ships... but thats as far as I'll go.

I didn't play STO's new season too much...but I noticed that Terran ships have much different "texture work" than before... I must admit I dont like it... Red "stripes" are not symbol of Terrans for me..Only yellow "stripes"...

To be honest Enterprise brought in the yellow stripes, originally they were identical to the Federation versions just with ISS instead of USS. For Yesteryears I was using the red stripes as I felt it looked better.

That Valiant is based on one of the Defiant concept images. I've seen a similar ship floating around all over the place for years, usually referred to as the Valiant.

Stats are out:

http://www.arcgames.com/en/games/st...634123-star-trek-online:-defiant-bundle-stats

In short - LtCdr Pilot across the board. The Defiant looks like a Defiant, but the Ens Tac is upped to a Lt Universal. The Klink BoP looks like a BoP with all universal seats (which never makes sense to me) and the Rom birdie - well it's different.

They all have that torpedo burst module thing, the klinks and Defiant have a two piece set which improves criticals on decloak and reduces the cloak cooldown (which makes no sense on the Defiant as its the same console based non-battle cloak) and the Roms get a three-piece which improves torpedo abilities.

The BoPs both get the enhanced battle cloak.

In short, as a Fleet T5U Defiant owner, I don't see a lot going for the T6 Valiant. As a Klink BoP operator, it seems a fair BoP (but I've been focusing on my Fed and ROm characters lately), and I dont know what to make of the Malem, I'd need to compare the stats against the other warbirds.

The Klink BoP looks like a BoP with all universal seats (which never makes sense to me).

Reason for that is that they are raiders and are incredible weak hull and shield wise. They were designed that way in the early days to make the factions different and to give a disadvantage to the all universal BOFF slots. Considering faction uniqueness is out the window since PWE took over, makes we wonder why this unique feature hasn't been given to the other factions yet.

I'm not a fan of the BOP's, I don't think they have much of a place in PVE, as they were designed for the PvP crowd which is mostly dead these days due to the cross faction giveaways (lock box consoles, etc) and the nerfs.

While I love the look of the Klingon BOP ships, I just hate flying them in STO due to how weak they are and how much rubbish they are in PvE. So this would be another miss for me. For once I'd like to see then bring out a BOP that is like a Federation Escort just so it's useful in PvE.

K'Vort or something original that can use various existing BOP costume parts from the B'rel etc is fine with me. :)

Watch the first episode of DS9 again. Those stations has thrusters. Sisko moved DS9 from orbit of Bajor to the mouth of the wormhole.

I know that... but far as I remember (I didnt watch DS9 long, long time) that was done for the first and last time..so station can't be moved any more... perhaps mirror Terok Nor has never been moved before so maybe that is reason why suddenly showed in 'our' space...

That it dose But it was not Sisko that moved DS9 from orbit of Bajor to the mouth of the wormhole. It was Major Kira

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: Emissary as seen hereds9 move.png

in fact it can move more easy now than at that time of the move ,given that the station systems are fully operational at the tme of the move they only have one bank of thrusters that worked

It was tricky, but only because the Cardassians left the station in such bad shape and they didn't have a few days to spend moving it.

Has anyone else been having issues with the Deferi ground daily (called Emancipation)? My client is consistently crashing when playing and I have redownloaded all hogg files and verified files via the launcher.
