The second design is actually a Nebulon C class, successor to the Nebulon B seen in ESB and ROTJ. We really don't know how old the Nebulon B actually is so it makes sense after the Rebels got a hold of some the Empire wanted a replacement that was better equipped to be able to take out the predecessor.

Here is my Imperial Acclamator Mk 1 destroyer/assault ship. A design inherited by the Empire from the old Republic, unlike the Venator the Acclamator was continued to be used due to it's multi-role configuration. Examples included being used as a Stromtrooper and ground forces transport, slave ship, military transport vessel. A mk 2 version was introduced early into the rein of the Empire and was design solely for space combat.

I have always liked this design, I feel it was the best example of a pre-SD design. The Venator never really cut it for me, feeling too advanced for the era.

I purposely kept the textures simple, as I wanted to kept the simple feel from the movies and further more didn't want to spend days on this, like I have with many previous models.

ImperialAcclamator1.jpg

EDIT:

Finished the Mk 2.

Devised by Lord Vader early into the Imperial reign, the Acclamator Mk 2 was designed to give additional space combat abilities to the Acclamator class. While not all Acclamators were built or modified to this specification a great many Acclamator II's were put into service and many participated in the Jedi Hunt and the destruction of the remaining separatists holdouts.

Nice set of ships :D And knowing your work, you probably pulled them off in low poly count ;) Its great that you can model these diverse things and keep them looking like they all belong in the same fleet.

Thanks, Mr Vulcan. I did go a little higher than normal on some of the designs, but considering I build my models now only for Fleet Ops and also have them high quality enough to be used in other games too (if I ever do jump ship) I thought it was a good compromise.

Here are the poly counts on them:
Star Destroyer - 4425
Victory - 4568
Acclamator MK 1 - 2830
Acclamator Mk 2 - 3512
Victor Frigate - 2642

If Fleet Ops can get away with a 10k Borg Cube I can get away with a 4500 Victory Star Destroyer. :lol2:

Having them all match is always a goal of mine, though in Star Wars they often don't as some of the fleets are like rag tag fleets especially the Rebels and Pirate fleets. Probably why I am sticking with just doing Imperial designs atm. I should also have a couple more Imperial Capital ships over the next week, including a corvette design. Plus I have got the itch to do some more fighter designs, including some more TIE designs. So keep an eye out for those as well. :)

Pacificator Frigate.

ImperialPacificator.jpg

A design originating from the Clone Wars, inherited by the Empire and used throughout Imperial space for deployment of TIE squadrons where a larger cruiser is not available or feesable. This is a rework on an older model of mine, I made new textures so it can match my other designs.

Starviper Starfighter.

Starviper.jpg

Back to fighters as they seem to be more popular by my followers.

Here is my Starviper model, I am rather fond of this unusual design, due to two reasons. The first is the nostalgic feeling of playing Shadows of the Empire back in 1997, the year I got my Nintendo 64 and the Shadows being the first game I got, I still have both. Secondly it reminds me of the Starfury from Babylon 5 (my favourite show) and to be honest was probably an inspiration for this design.

In Empire at War, it serves as the Zahn Consortium's main fighter craft, I look at it more as an elite fighter. I know it's a Black Sun unit in the expanded universe but I prefer the Zahn Consortium.

That is very unique. I like it. Kind of a cross between a tie fighter, a mech and a Dominion bug ship sort of inverted.

It looks more like a Starfury than a TIE in my opinion.
http://babylon5.wikia.com/wiki/SA-23E_Mitchell-Hyundyne_Starfury

It appeared in Shadows of the Empire as Prince Xizor's fighter, in the game you fight whole squadrons of them. Empire at War they are the main fighter of the Zhan Consortium, the pirate faction in the expansion Forces of Corruption.

I think I have a toy model of this somewhere... Like... IG-1000 or something like that. Forget what its called.

It's nice to see Star Wars in Star Trek, It gives a new feeling on the game itself. The usual tactics don't apply and have to come up with new ones to defeat your enemies.

Just a little update, thanks to Jetfreak I have been able to release four of my previous starfighters I finished up.

They are in the star wars section of the MSFC resource section:
http://www.msfc.com.au/community/index.php?resources/categories/star-wars.26/

I also uploaded all my other fighters that were on v6 of MSFC.

Keep an eye out I should be able to send upload some more new releases in the near future.

Thanks @Knight

I will on Tuesday be hardpointing the remaining textured Star Wars ships and be sending them to Jetfreak. Then it will be time to texture some completed models that need some paint work.

I've been taking notice of these too. They look great. Now that the Upgrade Project is almost complete I've been mulling over bringing the old Star Wars: Fleet Command mod over to FO in stock A2 form like the UP mod. There is a post by Stalkerh over at FF that provides free usage for any works it contains. Though I wouldn't really be converting anything I would just port it over.

Hmmm....may have to consider this.

Most excellent! Looking at these motivated to reinstall Armada 2 last night. :)

That's great to hear, well expect to see more in the coming weeks. I have a truck load of Star Wars meshes that I plan to finish up, included are CR70 and 90 Corellian corvettes, Dreadnaught Cruiser, Marauder Corvette, Platform station, C70 Corellian frigate from Episode 1 and many more including some designs from Empire at War, Forces of Corruption.

Well if you want to use my models you're most welcome to. While I might not have enough to totally replace all the models from Star Wars Fleet Command I do have many designs, and over time I would probably get more out. While I won't make a mod out of them, they might give MSFC members an opportunity to make one themselves. :D

Here is one of my older models, textured and in-game. This will be the first of about 6 that I need to hardpoint and then send to Jetfreak.

Victory-class? I look forward to playing around with it one of these days. I've installed a slue of Star Wars ships in my SFC3 install, but I've never really used them in Armada 2.

Once I refresh my ability to mod A2 and install ships somewhat reliably...yeah...that could take a while...

Yup Victory class, the first of quite a few Imperial ships I will be sending to Jetfreak. Plus there will be a heap of others.

The first batch will have the Imperial, Victory, Acclamator Mk 1 & 2, Pacificator Frigate, Victor Frigate and Nebulon C. Plus the Black Sun/Consortium Star Viper.

Then it will be back to texturing for me.

Here are the Acclamator's the Assault Ship and the Star Frigate.

And the Pacificator. Only the Imperial, Victor, Nebulon C and Starviper left.

Is the Victor Frigate the Star Destroyer with wings? I remember them from Battlefront 2, but I don't know if I saw them in anything else.

Fantastic work with these models Maj, I'm excited to see your Rebellion ones in action again as well. I'm a bit of a fan of those Corellian ships haha.

Thanks mate, glad you like it. I did a quick wonder through my model section of my hard-drive late last night and found several models I totally forgot about, so there are plenty more on the way, including another Imperial Cruiser design, and some Imperial corvettes.

Imperial designs include:
  • Enforcer/Immobilizer Cruiser
  • Tartan Corvette
  • Virgil Corvette
  • Venator Star Destroyer
  • Gladiator Frigate
  • Dominator/Interdictor Star Destroyer (will just need to do a kitbash of my Imperial Star Destroyer design)

Yeah it's the Victory II out of the Battlefront II space battle maps used as a support ship like the Acclamator was used for the Republic. Many in the fan community call the Victor class so not to be confused with the Victory cruisers.

As for Rebellion models, I have the following:
  • CR70 Corellian Corvette
  • CR90 Corellian Corvette
  • CR90A Corellian Corvette aka Sundered Heart from Empire at War
  • Marauder Corvette
  • Dreadnaught Cruiser (will probably be a pack with a pirate version as well)
  • C70 Republic cruiser from Episode 1 and the Clone Wars
  • Mk1 Assault Cruiser (which is a modified Dreadnaught Cruiser)
  • Quasar Frigate
Those are all the model complete versions too by the way. I also have some pirate/Zhan units:
  • Interceptor 1-4 Frigates
  • Vengeance Frigate
  • Aggressor Battleship (needs a bit of mesh work but almost there)
  • Kedalbe (I did a version 1, but was working on a version 2 before I stopped my Star Wars modeling, will probably finish up v2 and release v1 as a mesh only)
  • Crusader Corvette
  • Thranta Frigate

The Gladiator is a small frigate capable of carrying fighters, she is often used on boarder patrols were a larger Star Destroyer or cruiser isn't viable. Vessels of this class often clash with pirate groups and small rebel assaults.

That's another imperial vessel down. I did some images with larger ships to show the scale of this vessel. She is pretty small when compared to the Victory and Imperial classes.

Update: Jetfreak was very quick with doing the images for the Starviper and so it's now available in the resource section. Thanks again mate for doing awesome renders of my models. :D

I really like that Gladiator model. It's a very interesting design and looks pretty cool. It sort of reminds me of the power boats used in hydroplane racing.

Me gusta the Gladiator! (I beg pardon for my atrocious Spanish, it's definitely not what it used to be haha.) I love the big ships and all, but I've always got a soft spot for the frigates and the destroyers of a fleet.

Thank you both, as for the smaller ships I do have two imperial corvettes on the way. I need to texture them both but got one ready to be mapped which I will look at starting at least today. I think those and the Venator are the last Imperial designs left to do, then I might look into starting some pirate or rebel ships.
