i have the COE Alpha LOL im a closet cardassian fan
Same I love their designs. In Armada 3 for Sin's I mainly play them or the Klingons but usually it's the Cardassians. Hahaha. But TMP is my favourite Trek era so I will probably make a few more TMP Cardassians just for the fun of it, throw them in the store and hope someone is interested.

If any MSFC member wishes to purchase a few of my models I'll happily do a discount for them and send the models directly to them. I know times are hard for everyone at the moment.

Thank you mate, I tried to have it feel much older in design to fit the era.

My last model of 2023. This one is a Kzinti design. Based off of Rob Mayer's designs, I rebuilt this model so it is totally mine. I also made changes to how I felt the Kzinti in TMP would be, less advanced than the other species in the Alpha/Beta Quadrant and so I used the more TOS style nacelles to reflect this.

I am not entirely happy with the textures on this so later I will be going back to re-do them hence why I haven't done a spreadsheet for this design not uploaded it here or on DA. I have however uploaded the model to my sketchfab store. I have a couple of commissions to do in January after which I'll come back to this model to make the changes I wish to make it feel right in my eyes.

I'm usually not a huge fan of the SFB style designs, but the model is great! Loving the textures and the nacelle design is really cool!

EDIT: Also, I'm liking the torpedo/missile pods sticking out of the main structure. Particularly with lower tech, I'd imagine ammo explosions are still a thing, so you'd probably want to prevent one of those tearing your ship apart. Having them stick out makes them easier to target, but if one should blow up, it's much less of a problem. I like this design more and more.

Thanks Terra, I only just got back from holidays. I always liked the Kzinti designs and were a favourite idea of mine for YY. I had big hopes for them, including them not running battleships but more cruisers and cheaper to produce etc. I always found a group of carnivorous cats that conqueror for sport and prey to be a fun faction to explore.

That's pretty much how I see them functioning. All their battleships are just larger cruisers as the only difference is more missiles. At some point, do you want more missiles on a single ship or toss them on several starships? In the TMP era, more ships make sense.

some of the Kzinti/Mirak cruisers and dreadnoughts are a bit larger and more heavily armored than the smaller ships... but I like what you did with the design..and the color scheme being a bit less saturated is something im going to incorporate into my FOAS Kzinti ships

Hello:
The saturation of colours is indeed something to consider as we would have to chose between accuracy with the sources or what looks better ingame.

Yes, this one is a light cruiser, so think like Miranda or something. So it certainly isn't the largest of their fleet. I would say (in my own AU/Yesteryears universe etc) the largest of their fleet would be similar sized to the Excelsior.

Thats actually pretty close to what I have for my largest Mirak/Kzinti battleship... the Longfang is about 370 m long.. so a fair bit shorter than the Excelsior.. but a bit more armored.

I see them as a more primitive race/factions so it makes sense they wouldn't have the big ships like the major factions. In YY the Gorn were to have the largest and most powerful, in terms of survivability, warship.

A commission I did for @Admiral*Alex the D10 Risk'hadh a FASA Klingon Heavy Cruiser design. Slightly larger than the D7 K'tinga, I used the additional space to give her two additional hangar bays so she could be used as a carrier if so chosen. I looked at several variations of the design seen online and used them to come up with my version blending the best of them while trying to stay faithful to the original.

This design will be up in my store at a later time at the same price as Alex paid.

Ooh, this one is pretty cool. I like the chonkier FASA Klingon designs, looking lethal as heck while still fitting well with the TMP aesthetics. Good work all around Maj!

Yeah FASA had some really great designs, quite a few of my Klingons are inspired by FASA. I am glad I was able to modernise it a little and Alex is very happy with it, which I am glad. I have another couple of FASA designs in the works, which I want to get back to after I finish the second ship commissioned by Alex.

Hello:
FASA has good designs, and others no so much, so to choose the good ones and/or to tweak them is always welcome :) .

is this model mapped to any of your existing klingon textures that were originally a part of Yesteryears? or are they all new textures?
Based on the render and Sketchfab's 3D model viewer, it looks inline with the rest.

Tonight if I remember, I can whip something up so I can see it in-game with the rest of the Fleet.

I create all new textures for each model. Which are included with each model. They match my other Klingon models so the fleet feels standardized and consistent. I haven't done the whole trying to map other textures from other models since my Clash of Empire days. It's so much easier making new textures from scratch, even if I only use photoshop. One day I hope to get my hands on substance painter, to be able to make those highly professional textures like other modellers have.

I've love to see it in-game, not often I see my models ported to a game.

While this last month has been busy with commissions, still got one to finish, I took some time out today to upload the rest of the Federation stations onto my sketchfab page.

They have their textures updated slightly to match the ships who got a texture change to a more blueish hull. Now the whole Federation fleet matches. If someone already has the models when they were up here and just wants the updated textures I will happily talk about a cheaper and fair price. Feel free to message me if that's the case.

After I finish this commission I only have a few more Federation and Klingon designs to complete to have two complete fleets and stations done though I'd probably take a break from Trek for a while to work on some other franchise models I've got or wish to do. B5, Star Wars, BSG and Stargate I have models of that could do with some completion. Some are mapped, others need mapping and some just require some minor modelling work.

I had totally forgotten about this little model. I found it while looking at WIP pictures of the commission I am currently doing and so I updated the textures to what the current models use and uploaded it. Sin's don't use work bee's to my knowledge but for Armada 2 modders this is an often overlooked model.

I also forgot this little workhorse. Hahahaha.

Hello:
Oh lol, everybody forgets about the good-little Oberth class :lol2:
Yeah I forgot I hadn't updated the textures. Probably because I decided if I ever port my models to Sins that the Okinawa was to be the scout while in A2 the Oberth was the scout hahaha.
It's not forgotten. It's everyone's favorite War-Canoe!
The worker Bee is the forgotten one

Hahahaha.

Yeah the Bee I totally forgot about thought I'd throw it up as why waste something I spent time on.

The Oberth class would be a very good scout, well, anything is better than those glorified shuttles :p . The Okinawa looks like a war scout :D .
Hahahaha.

That reminds me about the few people that tried to do more with the Bee, even creating a fighter version:
