Late last year I started working on additional Klingon stations and I wanted to try and get them complete. Here is the first batch of them. Just finished the texturing process today, god I hate mapping models lol. So much easier when I build the model as I build them in such a way that it takes a fraction of the time to map. :)

Anyway... included here are:
  • Asteroid Mine (For Sins)
  • Refinery Type 1 (For A2)
  • Refinery Type 2 (For Sins)
  • Sensor (Culture Station for Sins, Sensor for A2)
  • Trade Station (For Sins and A2)

Still have a pair of research stations to texture they might be next on my list. Hope you like them and they work for TMP era Klingons. I went with the modular station approach like I did with the Klingon it just made sense rather than having totally unique designs like one would expect in the TNG era onwards.

Wow I feel like with slightly different textures, those would work for something Star Wars too. Maybe Black Sun or something. Very cool! Your stations are always very believable designs.

Thanks mate, I do try and make unique designs for whoever I am working on. Once I finish the Klingon models I plan to get back into my TOS Cylons. Of course I'll release all the Klingon stuff like I did for the Federation. :)

Those are some really cool Klingon stations!

Hope you don't mind if I hijack your tread for a second but I was hoping since your back into modeling I could get you to make me a "System Background" image for my Dawnstar in Fleetops. I've tried a few times to make one myself but they all look like some four year olds finger painting.

Ya the one on the right is perfect (dawnstartop). Could i get you to rotate it 180 degrees and save it into a .tga format. I can't seem to find the program i was using to convert things to tga. I think that that progam way have been some of my probems. Thanks in advanced.

Here's one rotated 180 degrees and one flipped horizontally so there's two different shadow directions. Still the original 1200x1200, so you might want to fiddle with that.

As for programs, I just use GIMP for my image stuff.

Thank you both Majestic and Cabal. :ty::love:The files you posted worked great. Took me a few tries to get the sprite settings right. I used (dawnstartop 0 450 1400 800) for the Dawstar in the system background sprite file if anyone else whats to know. Thankyou both again very much!!! My Dawnstar has finally enter its rightfull place as my Flagship!!!! :D

I also use GIMP, I highly recommend it as it's very powerful. Take care when saving to TGA though, I think it defaults to saving as compressed, you'll have to uncheck that checkbox as A2 can only read uncompressed TGA as far as I know. Good luck with your modding!

Those look great mate! Are they just MS3D or did you convert them to sod's?

Just Ms3D files they were built for Sins but will work in A2 provided one hardpoints them. I can include a free hardpoint MS3d file that you can merge into the file if that will be of help that way all you need to do is remove what you don't want to use, move the nodes around and convert it to A2 SOD, convert the textures to TGA and you're in business.

You make it sound soooo simple :lol2: But I'm afraid thats out of my wheel house. I can do a little modding but no modeling. Thanks anyways. And your models are still cool!

Well it's not modelling per say it's just hardpointing. Once upon a time I didn't know how to hardpoint but it became easy after I learnt it. Especially using the merge cheat method. :lol2:

Starting with the Cylon Tender and Starviper I posted the other day in my Battlestar Galactica and Star Wars Modelling threads, I have decided to start going through my old model folder and finishing up work that I never finished. So expect to see a variety of different releases (for sale on my sketchfab account/store). Including a few Klingon stations and ships from Yesteryears, some Battlestar Galactica models, some Stargate models and a few others.

The Cylon Tender was my first, the Starviper was my second, here is my third.

This one was already mapped, and the textures were started a tad some, so I finished her up over the past two days. This is the Klingon engineering research station I designed for Yesteryears. It's quite different to the science station that I also made but haven't finished. I made them this was to be easily identifiable while in-game.

I hope you enjoy and please if you wish or can support me, my models are for sale and every little bit does help during this trying times.

Started going through my Federation models and pretty much all the ships will eventually end up with higher poly saucers. Since I already did the Excalibur class for @Jetfreak a while back I decided to use it as a test bed for messing around with the textures. Let me know what you think.

I tried to give them a bit more depth with the saucer lines etc.

Looks good to me Majestic. Only thing (and this is just my personal taste) would be to change out the grey color with some blue to give her a little more "pop".

The textures are def more defined with the extra panelling, a lil' more blue should bring it closer to Excelsior specs but that's a personal pref thing.

Higher poly saucers are always welcome!

Okay I did the more blue texture, let me know if you think I achieved the effect.

Your Akula looks spot on! She is a nice clean ship and I think you achieved that. Everything you need nothing you don't. Think you nailed it!

Thanks, I'll update the fleet textures as I update the saucers.

Added most of the rest of the destroyers yesterday to sketchfab.

It was probably one of my inspirations, quite a few years ago since I made this particular model. I am basically just revamping the old models, partial rebuilds mainly saucers on the ships to bring them a bit up to date. I'm probably have to rebuild the stations, like the mining station research stations etc too. A lot of work.

although I know you aren't releasing too much for free anymore (I might be making a purchase possibly) I am glad to see you back Majestic. And glad to see you back making meshes and textures. Keep up the good work sir! I am taking good care of your Yesteryears stuff that you sent me.
