So they are keeping to there standards in other words heavy use of the Ugly stick

This one is not their fault. The Vulcan ship was in the show and therefor a CBS design.

Damn straight most people in game don't want any more discovery content but as usual the devs seem determined to do what they want rather than catering to their customer base

I think that the STD designers did an amazing job - there doesn't appear to be a single good angle on this ship!

Looks like someone found an unused helmet and stuck engines on it.

The thing is, if the front wasn't so much lower and there wasn't those hard angles, it wouldn't be too bad.

I like that they added the leveling to the event ship. Gonna make me happy as my Discovery character is a Vulcan science officer. It'll be good to level the character up in.

For all those that are planning to start the 9th Anniversary grind, as usual there are bonus vouchers for the episodes released (200 per episode as there's two). HOWEVER... right now the episodes are only available if your character has unlocked the story arc to this point. So be careful which character you do all that omega scanning with.

I played with my son yesterday and we both had to go through and skip over half of the missions. We were both over 60 so it wasn't much of the issue. I just had to walk my son through the un-skippable parts.

When we played the first mission, "Para Pacum" we ran into a glitch that blocked us from continuing the mission. I went back in solo and was able to finish without any issues.

I really wished they also offered a more ENT looking skin as an option for that Vulcan ship. The ship trait will be nice though and as SFF said will be a good levelling ship for those still levelling characters.

As much as I am not a fan of STD I must say the episodes featuring Tilly were awesome she's such a great actor with an amazing voice and the mannerisms they gave her character were great too. Makes we wish we saw the Mirror Tilly in the series.

I must say, I'm really not feeling it on this one. Having really not pushed Klingons for ages they release a pack where almost 50% of the ships are Klingon, so by their own figures (if you believe them) not a huge amount of the player base runs with thereby making it 12000 zen for three ships.
It's not a particularly big pack anyway, 5 ships, one of which I already own and caps out at T4. The Gagarin looks quite nice, but stats wise it's nothing special. In fact, the only thing I'd be tempted to purchase would be the Walker Excelsior style skin. But no, if I had 12000zen I'd be spending it on a different (much bigger) pack.

My thoughts too plus the public outcry over the STD Klingons means even many avid Klingon fans (myself Included) just aren't interested in them. They'd be better off making a 25th century Klingon ships instead of the STD poor designs.

Plus to be honest just how many escorts and cruisers do we need. Long past time for some science ships with more than 2 tac consoles. No ship needs a huge amount of engineering consoles. Past time to mix it up a little give a cruiser more science and tactical consoles than engineering just to be different from the constant run of the mill ships they put out. At this stage considering how similar stats are just make them all costumes for existing ships as that's basically what they are.

Some more pretty video from ZEFilms.

I have to ask though, what genius decided to put a hood ornament on a Death Glider and call it a Bird of Prey? And is that first ship really a Klingon cruiser? What were they thinking??

The Shran I like as a concept and could have made a better Defiant than the Defiant, but not a fan of the design. The Gagarin has potential... but I just don't see any reason to take it over an Arbiter.

If I remember correctly, the guy who did the concept art for DSC's Klingon stuff was specifically told not to look at existing Klingon stuff, for some reason.

Weeeellllll, in that case, he did an excellent job of making it look nothing like any other Klingon design.

When the Disco Fed ships are dressed up in TNG skins, the aesthetic sort of works now. More of a reason why Trek should be moving forward.

I think it was from reddit, but someone said the Disco Klingon "BoP" was sourced/copied/inspired from ornamental Chinese art. In fact, there's a similar sculpture in one of the Soulcalibur games.
