Well I created a Delta Recruit today, a KDF Talaxian Science officer. Up to "The Hunt is On". SFF mentioned he'll be running a KDF Engineer, we plan to do some missions tomorrow, so if anyone else is interested and will be playing around the same time, you're welcome to join us.

I have created a Fed Vulcan science officer and a KDF Talaxian engineer up to the same point as Maj. Anyone interested is indeed welcome to join us.

I'm amazed at how difficult is is to find star systems now.

Are the new star systems actually usable?

Well, my client has crashed once already and it seems STO removed some of the ships in sector space so now I can't complete the Deferi dailies. Wonderful...

Keep in mind that this is the first day of the update so it will be riddled with bugs and other issues with unusually high server demand. I always wait at least a couple of days after a major update before actually playing.

At least a week for a season( sometimes 2) and 3 weeks for an expansion for me.

I think the split hull thing for Starfleet happened when someone decided to take the front of the nova and give it steroids

I have seen the Feddy and Klingon one a while back, the Rommie one in the Delta Flight mission. The Romulan one looks awesome imo, the Fed one, well to be honest it has grown on me, despite not being much of a Fed player.

Ok, so I guess this is a sneak peak at the new T6 Defiant, plus Klink raptor and Romulan... Escort? Really not liking the new split hull standard for STarfleet, it makes no sense whatsoever.

That Fed ship look oddly familiar to me so I had to look it up. It closely resembles one of the designs from Perpetual. It is one of the ones that players have asked for so if it indeed does become available for the players, there should be some happy players.

Check out the original design here.

Also, that Romulan one looks like it has a nice Reman feel to it so I like it.

The Romulan one does look the best.

:lol2: Yeah it's something else entirely. Oh and the Klingon ship, no thanks. Maybe a variant might be better looking. Hopeful wishes.

I think the Romulan (Reman?) one looks best followed by the Klingon one. The Federation one looks like crap. They did say in the announcement that they each will have three variants so, we shall see.

:lol2: I think the Klingon version is the worst of the lot. I am 75% sure I'll be giving that one a miss.

Stats are out for the new pilot ships. In short, escorts but with 5 fwd and 2 aft weapons slots, and 5 tac consoles plus six other consoles shared between eng and sci. Lt universal, and Cdr and Lt Cdr as Tac BOffs. Methinks the powers have crept with this one.

Fed ships:

Klink ships:

Rom ships:

For a change I think the Klingons have escaped the ugly stick, which seems to have been used to beat a Defiant to a pulp. No Defiant skin mentioned (but then, it is a Pilot ship and not a hero ship, the Galaxy and Intrepid weren't Command or Intel, although they should have been). The Romulans... don't look Romulan to me. They look like a cross between Reman and Dominion and painted light green. But that's just me.

:lol2: I'm the opposite I like the Federation one but think the Klingon one was bashed to death with the ugly stick and then hit again just for good measure. Each to their own I guess. If only it was more like the Mat'ha Raptor.

I don;t play fed, not really so no point me buying the Federation ship, I don't play Romulan, not really so no point there. I don't like the look of the Klingon ship, so another miss for me. A real same as I love the pilot features.

I play mostly Fed but I also have fun with my Rom. The Klinks are just too poorly implemented for my liking, although I do have a lvl 50 character. My PC doesn't like the First City either, lags something awful. But back to the subject at hand, I'll probably be sticking with my Vesta until we see a T6 Sovereign... At the rate they're churning out ships it can't be far off!

:lol2: We often have massive lag with ESD. I have experienced very little lag on Qo'Nos. If you're ever on and what help getting your Klingon up at 60, let me know. I'd be happy to help on my lvl 60 Engineer or Tactical.

Yeah well saying they wouldn't do T6 refits was blown out the water with the Pathfinder and Negh'Tev/Andromeda etc.

I expect a Sovereign to be released next to a Vorcha for the Klingons. I am really hoping they'll release another pilot ship pack with different ships or better yet give the pilot abilities to existing escorts/Raptors.

Well, they have made an announcement regarding the next Summer Event. They will be retiring the Lohlunat Pearls and you will need to grind from scratch for the new ship (unannounced). They are offering rewards that you can purchase with any existing pearls you may have. I am not too upset over this as I never saved a surplus of the pearls. They said this will be the model going forward (which brings up questions regarding the other events).

The part that upsets me is that they are also retiring the previous ships. They will not be available for new players / characters.

(which brings up questions regarding the other events).

I hope not as I have 400 Q marks from the Anniversary event that I was planning on using next year towards the ship they offer.

Oh, and its time for another sale.

Damn, the weekend I am away they do this. I was waiting for it to buy the Mat'ha Raptor. Guess I'll have to wait longer for the next sale.

I do too Maj.

An update to the events. All future event ships will be this way. There is one major change. From now on, all event ships will be account unlocks. You will now only need to grind on one character and all existing and future alts will have immidiate access to them. I am uncertain if that means they will be claimable at any time or just durring the event. Also, all previous event ships will be the same. I don't know if this applies to all events or just the summer/winter events.
