• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

A real shame this wasn't picked up as an official series.

I think it speaks to the very real disparity between what Star Trek fans actually want and what the people running Star Trek either think we want, or else think will draw the biggest audiences.

I'd love to have hope that things will pivot at some point...

Hello:
Just a reminder that Hollywood nowadays is only just about the political and social agendas they have. So they show us what they think we want to watch, and if we fans tell them otherwise... well, at least the people in charge of Star Trek are not as toxic as other producers and directors that insult the fans.

More like a shame it's still petering on like this lmao.

They had their chance and they blew it. I will gladly take Discovery, Picard, LD and everything else to come, over the tattered remains of Axanar. It had such hope and they went and blew ALL of it.

Hello:
They blew it indeed, quite a shame, it reminds me of Harmony Gold. So you say it's better to see New Trek than nothing at all then? If you want to, sure! But in my case I chose not to watch at all... except for STD season2 because it was a chance for me to spend extra time with my brother, nothing else.

I found myself cringing at some points, but credit is due anyway cuz I'm just being a good sport at this point. But hot damn, the dip in quality is really drastic. The lack of Tobias Richter was telling.

Alec Peters really is a textbook example of the Dunning-Kruger effect in action.

5/10 right now, hopefully they step up but I'm not too optimistic.

Hello:
I indeed agree with you but, funny thing is, that continuation is not with the other videos of Axanar but rather in the "The Best Star Trek Fan Films" alongside "Squadron". With Alec Peters acting as Garth but a different production team altogether.

It's an interesting way of sidestepping the rules - same sets, same cast, same story arc, but a different team. It's not a sequel, honest gov :lol2:

That or a really good way to find yourself back in court and have Viacom issue more draconian rules.
