Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.
Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.
We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

The mesh of the Tug is ready. As the tug is very small, I think the textures don't need much details. Do you agree?
I have question...I convert from MOD to SOD Gorn ships for my A1 project... In storm 3D ships are working fine; however when I set Shipyard to build them (techtree edited to enable buidling), after LAUNCH GAME screen goes black...there's no orange loading screen...I don't know what's wrong
About your problem with your A1 project: Often there is something with the ODF file.
It could also be the kyard.odf or the tech1.tt.If you like, upload a file ( In Ms3d ) and I can have a look at it. The odf file too.
OK, I've uploaded Gorn Heavy Destroyer (GDX)...You can already export it to SOD format...My kyard.odf and tech1.tt and freetech.tt were edited too because I added many ships before

I uploaded the archer class. I have edited the mesh somewhat to make better use of the textures.
This is more texture request..Do you know are there any textures which ressemble Terran Empire designations that could be applied to any ship class??
Or use the old SOD hacking trick. Since the SOD file format stores the texture references as ordinary strings, you can simply open the file with a text editor and change the file names. However, be aware that this only works if the new names have exactly the same length as the old names. Otherwise, you'll mess up the internal formatting of the SOD file.It's pretty easy in photoshop o turn a feddie ship into a Terran one. I have done it in the past. Although if you want to use a Feddie and Terran version on the same model you need to use Ms3D/3DS Max to change the texture allocation and re-export it as a new sod.
