Ooo nice. She almost looks Ancient in origin. Though I'm sure that's just co-incidental. ;)
yYeah something like that. *gives LT the shifty eyes* :)

As I add to the model I'm hoping to give it a bit of a gothic look.

Since this will be a military ship I added 2 fix mounted heavy rail guns. I will also be adding turret based rail guns later.

Just the trigger area, a few small details and a few adjustments on the current parts and the basic gun will be done.

Nice Gun, I have thought of in the past of modelling weapons but haven't gotten around to it as of yet.

Are you planning on putting much detain into it?

I will be adding some details but for the most part the gun is very featureless. I guess that is why it is so resilient.

The GBE is easily in my top 5 favorite fictional weapons.

I'm about 90% done the modeling. I have a few things yet to add and still some adjusting to do.

A pretty solid gun, the good thing about that weapon is it could also double as a club. :lol2:

In all seriousness you've done great work on her, but the Farscape Peacekeeper pistol would still have to be one of my favourites.

The GBE is one of those weapons that only make sense in it's own environment. It has 5 setting and level 1 (the lowest) fires a beam 10-20m wide and 70km long which can punch holes in a solid Dyson sphere which is made of a materiel that can withstand direct nuclear explosions. Yes it may be wank but it is awesome wank. lol

My second choice for a weapon would be the Lazy gun for Iain M. Banks novel, Against a Dark Background. It is considered to be the only weapon to express a sense of humor.

Going for a futuristic factory city look.

Wow that's fantastic, what program do you use to model may I ask?

I love seeing futuristic cities, as most people do space ships and such. :)

It is done in Lightwave.

So far this is about one seventh of the total planned city. (if all goes as planned)

PS I'm at about 2.3 million polygons now.

Hello:
For that poly-count I must say that the pics don't really do justice to your city. But I saw the pics and they are amazingly great.
Keep it up! I would love to see the entire city.

Added more detail to the hub area and I also added part of the existing city on it for an idea of scale.

It will be two of the city segments on each side long.

Since this is for a contest I'll be doing a background history on it. Not to give to much away, the city itself is part of a larger mega-structure which if I have time I'll also model. (it will be it's own model)
