• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

Still a fair bit to add to this area. I'm probably going to start to jump between this area and the command area.

WOW! I say again, WOW! This is professional grade stuff here. If you're not getting paid to do things like this, you should be.

Absolutely amazing!

I downloaded your hanger because I wanted to do a scene with a Runabout sitting in front of it with Starfleet engineers out studying it. None of my MS3D wont open it.

OH well. Wonderfully Masterful job.

MS3D is designed for low poly stuff, it can't handle models over say 40-50k (rough estimate here). Best off downloading Blender, I believe it's still free and using that.

Took a break from the city and finished the command area.

Tomorrow I hope to finish off the city area.

You know what, I think you've found your strong point, architecture modelling. Not that your ships aren't outstanding as well, but your building are really jumping out at me something on the same level as the sci-fi shows themselves.

As funny as this sounds I almost find doing buildings easier than ships. A ship almost feels more complex from a designing point of view.

:) I can see why I think, a ship would have more varying details, and even if most of the ship is symmetrical in at least one aspect, some of the buildings are going to have more symmetrical features, and perhaps less complicated ones, making it easier.

(now if only I would put that to practice myself lol)

Finished off what I had left in the living area.

All the areas will be linked with a walk/transit system.

I have been following this event with a great deal of interest. It has been inspiring to say the least. The models are superb! I wonder what they'll look like when textured and layered and placed against a landscape/sky background?

Should get to see some of the final setup sometime this week.

Started on the walkways that will connect the areas. This one is made of two mixable parts.

Thanks Hellkite.

Just finished a low polygon background ship. Comes in at under 3,000 polys.

Added some more to the runway and started playing with how I'll link parts. Still have to do some adjustments.

Wanted to do more with the terrain but I just won't have the time to do it. So I'm forced to keep it basic.
