MSFC Members Ships Shot

I came up with a concept for a picture I'd like to work on last night. In my short time here, I've throughly enjoyed myself on MSFC. The members are very kind to each other in general, with the recent incident in Jetfreak's forum being the best example right now.

In appreciation, I'd like to do a compliation of a group of pictures, and in eachof them have some sort of story playing out in them. These pics would use models from my A2, or those that I could add to it. In addition, I'd like these shots to show of their registry names, and the names be the names of members here at MSFC.

Off the top of my head, the only ships that I can think of with visible names on them would be Federation ships, maybe some Battlestars, and I think some ships from Babylon 5.

If you'd like to be a part of these shots as your favorite ship, please, post up whatever you would like. If need be, I'll do some crossovers to accomidate some scenes.

I will also need help from any willing texturers out there, who would be willing to re-texture the appropriate files so that they have the desired registries. I'll help out to the extent that I can, but I'm still very new to the world of texturing.

No promises but I may be able to do some registries, especially if they are for the Battlestars like the Solaria and Mercury as I was the one to originally do the registries for them in the first place.

All righty, gonna make a notepad file for these names. When it seems that enough people have made requests, I'll post them up again with the requests to willing texturers

How about a Romulan Vrax class named Nohtho Etrehh or a Federation Dawnstar named Antaeus for me? Just whichever one it would be easiest to put a name on. I also like the design of the Federation Nautilus class, but the only model out is rather asymmetrical and needs to be redone.

I would love to help out - Im not the best texture guy round here, but I am kinda competent... Although applying text to paths or curves is a wee bit beyond me...

You're right, it has an excellent ring to it.

Sounds to me it would be an Excelsior. Would you like no-refit or refit?

I like this idea. May I request two ships? Not both for me. I would like the AR Miranda, USS DOC ROGERS NCC-1854 (in honor of my dad who turned me on to Star trek) and a Bonaventure class USS SCIFIFAN NCC-1078.

NOTE: My dads initials were DDR which is where DOC comes from. Some people he used to work with gave him that nickname.

Unfortunately, I do not have any "ready-made" B5 Omega and Nova ships as of now, but I will definately try and get them ready to contribute.

In the older Parallels mod we had an Omega class destroyer "EAS Intrepid" as hero unit, lol.

Nice logo, what does the text at the bottom mean? I assume it's Latin or something!

Also if you want the original MSFC logo in PSD format with a transparent background email me, using my msfc.com.au email account. It's my username so should be hard to figure out.

The reason for me thinking out what my ship is gonna be named is that I think it would be odd to have a Starfleet vessel called USS Borg_Queen.
Any thoughts, or maybe I should just go with that irony?

Oooooh! All the pretty Starfleet ships! ISS this is a wonderful idea. Thank you for your generous offer. I was pleased you liked the sig banner I made for you so much you adopted it. But my colossal ego threw a hissy fit and demanded I make a ship for myself as well. Stupid ego!

Battlestar Thunderous, BSG 120. Solaria class.​

If I went by the original source of my username it would be a Sovereign class USS Majestic, I got it from Armada 1 back in mid 2000. It's still in the ODF's for fbattle in A2.

However if I went by what identifies me these days it would be the USS Midway, Midway class and Battlestar Endeavour, Mercury Class (which in a new story I am writing is to become a Prometheus class).

But right now I'd rather see other peoples ships rather than my own. I also agree with the others Borg Queen, a assimilated Sovereign class named USS Borg Queen is perfect and represents you even better.

Ok, then it's settled. It will be an assimilated Sovereign with the name USS Borg Queen. All I now needs to decide is the registry.

I'm not sure if he knows all of them, so it would be quite helpful to provide some info on what they are and how to get them.
