Thank you both,

I like mate, good job. Who is Jennifer Ala really? I assume its not the models name

No it's not, I got Ala from Katala. Kathryn Ala is from the Midway Era, Ameila Ala is from the Enterprise era and Jennifer Ala is from the TMP era. Yeah strong family values here, like how I have David Galloway the ancessor to Maxwell Syf from the Midway era.

As for the actor, I think it's some model, found the image on the internet though I can't remember her name.

Fair enough. I like the family history there :) and good work on the Klingon too :thumbsup

Holy frak, I never even realised it was Daniella Ruah, how did I miss that? Maybe the lack of leather jacket, 9mm and angry face lol. Good catch there mate

Something new from the 2A-A2 Team, here we have the Phobos Light Cruiser, comparable for FO Players to the Norway or Canaveral.

It's a pretty small unit, in the older versions of the mod it was originally more powerful than the Miranda which is no longer the case but will be a valuable asset early in-game.

This is one of two models I have started today and almost finished modelling wise with some minor details all that is left on it.

Yeah, the Phobos totally justifies the NX-class in the design lineage.

So we got NX - Loknar - Phobos and eventually to the Akira, great stuff.

Not really my intention as I consider the NX non-canon as the design, well I went there in my ENT mod thread no need to do it here as well.

Anyway moving on, here is the Constellation Star Cruiser, the second of my models I have done today, starting fresh. So it's been a productive day. :)

The Constellation is a avatar unique ship and is also a limited build like the Soyuz as the Constellation was one of the various ship designs produced in an attempt to replace the Constitution class, however wasn't as successful as initally intended.

Oh, I liek this one a lot. The Constellation is awesome, and makes sense as an avatar-unique ship. It really seemed to be a rather obscure design.

Pretty much finished, except for textures.

Plus she will be able to support fighters, due to having 7 shuttlebays.

Since I haven't been posting on MSFC, taking time away, having a break, think is was better than the alternative, I have done two new models, the Okinawa and Constitution. I posted these on DeviantART since my break away from MSFC.

I'll post them here too now.

Nice work Maj :)

Just one thing though, does the Constellation not have some sort of belly pods towards the back of the primary hull, one on either side of the nacelle pylons?

It does, but I see a lot of things on many canon designs as rather useless and looking rather silly. Like I did in the ENT mod with the fins on the Neptune class.

Oberth is now finished, not 100% happy with this one as it's 2259 in poly's and I was hoping to get it around 1800. It's a scout just incase anyone is interested.

Fine work! I like this one a lot. The smaller ships and the support vessels are forever being ignored in favor of flashier designs. Oberth was state of the art when she came out and there are not nearly enough like her available.

Thanks, smaller ships are something I have always focused on with YY. It's another good reason I am using FO as a base, as that mod also doesn't focus much on Battleships. I have learnt a lot since playing online with that mod.

I think to reduce the poly count any more would affect the quality of the model, and it IS a quality model - very nicely done! I think YY might be the mod to temp me back to playing A2 again...

I agree there, about half the poly count actually comes from the pod itself, which took me more than half the total time I spent builing the model.

Thanks, the model is alright, I based it off the earlier model that Syf did.

Right now I am finishing up the Centaur class. She's running at 2360. I am still unsure if I am going to make her an avatar ship or a warp-in vessel. Either way, she'll be in otherwise I wouldn't be building her. Once done I have a warp-in ship to make using the Centaur and Miranda, it's something I promised a member of MSFC I would do a while back.

Fair enough :) in fairness, I read that those are optional anyway, apparently they were meant to be swappable based on mission profile. Which is kind of cool.

The oberth looks really good, looking forward to the centaur too!

Well I have finished the first attempt on the centaur, while this model is close to canon I feel that I am going to change the design. Pretty much due to the fact that I feel the design doesn't quite fit with my own vision of what the ship should look like.

I'll probably be turning the torpedo pod on the bottom of the ship into a small engineering hull that will have a shuttlebay and deflector dish. Mainly due to once I put the sensor dome in it will block the torpedo's from firing. I will also no doubt either be removing or remodeling the saucer shuttlebay to fit better on the saucer rather than just a tacked on kitbash from the Excelsior.

Hello:
That is a very nice-looking model, can I ask it's poly-count? as the Saucer section looks very detailed and rounded.

And I agree that even if it might have been born with Excelsior parts, even the official pics show that it is not jkust a kitbash, so you have the right idea, Majestic.

Keep it up!

Are you going to use the Miranda style bridge like the shooting model had or slap on an Excrllsior bridge like every on else does?

Probably a Miranda bridge, I prefer that one personally. :)

A vessel that first appeared in Star Trek Legacy but in the wrong era, a vessel first brought to Armada 2 and MSFC by Sci-Fi Fan. Now I have done my own version, for Yesteryears this time around.

However I have decided that rather than make it a destroyer or a cruiser that it will be a armed cargo vessel. A advanced vessel for it's role, the Strider is used to transport valuable cargo near the Klingon boarder. In the past cargo vessels in the area fell victim to Klingon raids but today now that there is a treaty, many still fall victim to raids, however nowadays it's normally the Orions whom are the culprits.

In responce to this, Starfleet, using tried and tested technology from some of the older classes, created a new vessel. While not as large as standard cargo vessels, Strider class vessels are armed and defended enough to deturer all but the most heavily armed raiders and many have also entered service as small hospital vessels for relief for wounded and infected Federation citizens.

I like the studio model the way it was...it looks pretty good. If you watched DS9 - A Time to Stand. When the Centaur attacks the JemHadar ship that Sisko and the crew are on..you see her fire a torpedo that launches at downward angle and then tracked toward the enemy ship.. You could angle your torpedo launchers downward a bit and give the torpedos it fires a slight omega turn to simulate the effect...

I have left the Centaur for now, however I still think the tilted down launchers is a poor excuse for a lack of engineering and design skills of the class. I might add a small neck to the ship so the launchers clear the sensor dome.

Anyway moving on, I have completed the first warp-in unit for the Federation, the Snegurochka class cruiser. The Snegurochka is an upgrade from the Pallada class from the 2260's, the Snegurochka is about the size of a Miranda class but not as powerful. Few operate under the Federation banner, with most operating under the United Earth First Fleet.

It's rather famous on DeviantArt and is a design created by Dave Metlesists for his own fan creation works.

Izzat a kitbash of your other meshes or did you make this one up from scratch? It is an interesting design.

That's an interesting question, only the nacelles, bridge, forward engineering hull (ie the deflector parts) and sensor dome have been unaltered, the rest has either been a total re-build or a mass alteration of Constitution parts. So in a way it's a kitbash but also a new model, so lets say a semi-kitbash.
