Remember this model was made by Wiley Coyote based on Gabes design...of which Gabe himself is going to rebuild his ship using Wiley's as a base as he had a hard drive crash recently and lost the mesh and textures for his Enterprise...so he might even be enhancing the model even more...

I looked at pics of Gabe's original mesh. I think he got it spot on first time out. This is a pretty good match to that one. My current modding skill set is restricted to merely tweaking textures, finding hardpoints using CV, and adjusting ODFs as needed. I'm quite happy with it as it is right now. About the only thing I could think of which would improve this release further would be to unweld the mesh and reduce the poly count to a manageable level. And I really do not think it necessary to go this far with what will be a mesh of limited interest to the majority of the A2/A1 Community. Jet did a superb job with this! The tweaks I have applied so far are very minor additional details which I wanted included.

I have not been able to leave this ship alone since I D/L'd it. Jetfreak did a masterful job and I only wanted it to be at its full potential. So I kept tinkering here and adding bits there and so on until what you see below was achieved. I am now more than happy with her. Here is the list of changes:

- All textures received the Akira Treatment.
- Bussard textures replaced.
- Registry lightmapping removed.
- Lightmaps tightened up to remove "spillage".
- Additional lightmapping applied to main deflector dish and sensor probe.
- Additional lightmapping applied to textures where needed to enhance details.
- Phasers added to the top of the Primary Hull.
- A one pixel bump map applied directly to textures to further enhance details.

I am sending the whole set off to Jetfreak for him to do as he wishes with it.

Hello:
You said that Thunderfoot?. Well, it is a good thing you are still here, and look at the quality of things you do.

Amazing .

I guess I need to clarify. When I said I was retired from modding A2 what I meant was I no longer make and release mods publicly. No real interest in doing so any more. I still tinker with stuff for myself. If the project interests me, such as the ST XI full race mod I am cobbling together, I occasionally dabble in it until I get something I want or like. But as to releasing things under my username? Nope. Too much bother and fuss to do so any more for Stock A2. All the good ideas have been used already and I've zero interest in doing anything for Fleet Ops, which is where everyone else seems to be headed at Warp 9.9. Plus the last few things I've released caused a bit of a row. Too old and set in my ways and all I really do around here lately is be really really good at offending the "In" crowd. I will pass things along I do to people whom are releasing things publicly, such as sending this set of textures to Jetfreak. He can do what he likes with them, doesn't even have to mention me at all if he decides to release them under his name. I will probably continue the ST:Gen3 fan fic when the mood strikes me and I will probably not put much more effort out than to post an occasional screencap. I still play Stock A2 about once a month or so. Makes me part of a small and rapidly diminishing group. I started fooling around with A2 five years ago this month. I feel I've given this game more than enough of my spare time.

I've moved to FO as after 10 years this Septemeber modding A1/A2 I have grown tired of not being able to do this or that. It was time for a change and I don't like Sins of a Solar Empire much, nor Star Wars Empire at War for modding platforms.

Well, I finally got her exactly the way I imagined her.

Just to have now a Declaration class XCV-330 S.S. Enterprise and the A2 collection is complete!

She's the first A2 ship mod in a long time I've gotten myself exercised about. Mostly because she is a glimpse of what might have been.

This is a ship I have wanted for a very very long time. All of the previous versions which are available are nice, but they do not compare to the outstanding work Amateur and Jetfreak have done here.

A ship which I have alwys been kinda, "Meh.", about until now. The pics are from a story idea I had awhile back, suitably updated of course. Might be one of those stories which needs telling. I've got an outline sketched out for it.

But these are really about showing off the work of our very talented friends.

Yup. Past due, I'd say. Which was why I asked you for that list of Phillipine folk heroes way back when I was working up the BSG fleet. From personal experience, everything is much better when some Pinoy is included, especially food! :lol2:

Nice to see the refit in full combat action. I'm actually thinking of making full TNG upgrade to them, ala Wyvern style. :D

Hello:
It is nice to see an Excelsior class to show all of her glory in a battle. Those escorting Cardassian ships had a very bad day indeed :D.

I like the glows the ship has, That is how I imagined it's look in the DS9 period, specially for the Dominion War.

And a kind of off-topic: the ship's name is interesting, but it has a little issue in spanish, as the name is "Aquino"... and in spanish sounds like "aqui no" which means "not here". I better make an FTL jump out of here :lol2:.

Chile, she is named after Ms. Corazon Aquino, who was a very distinguished and honored President of the Phillipines, lol.

Since my 'glamour' shots seem to be sadly lacking in "Wow!" power lately, I guess I'll need to keep practicing until I get it right, rofl!

Haha, I'll never look at her name the same way again!

Verah Kewl to nice to see the USS Trailblazer in such fine form. True Excelsior fans will notice the more subtle changes on the hull. She's gonna be released in one big texture pile soon.

Hello:
Well, I kinda made a mishpa with that name to happen, sorry about that . But there are other words in other languages that suffer from the same thing, even songs.

Back on topic: Well, Thunderfoot-san, that last pic made much clear that you do not lack any of the "wow" power:thumbsup:.
