Good work man
Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.
Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.
We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.
Hey. does anyone know where i can find the most up to date release version of sigma?
With the recent Fleet Ops announcement that they are making a new engine, I'm asking them if I can just release the newest build of Fleet Ops with the most current version of Sigma I have ready. I'd wait a week or so for that, the most recent version on ModDb is pretty old and ugly.
it would be nice to have the final batch of a2 engine improvements released. nonetheless, i wanted to take a look at the NPC aip's you made. I remember them working as fully functional map races. i was curious how you did it
You can download the most recent version here: http://www.moddb.com/mods/sigma
But you will probably need an older version of FO for it to work now that I remember.
and then make the npc race unplayable after you've made the map. It still retains the information that says the map race is that npc race.
With a quick modmodule shell and a couple added things i got it to work in the newest FO. it crashes a lot still tho. but the ai functionality is still there.
and that map npc-playable trick is brilliant. thanks
EDIT: did you ever test larger ai's or ecosystems? or try an entire race?
