• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Friend, I wish! I haven't even seen it!! Need to jack my friend's PS and games for a month, now....

Nope, not that new. This game came out quite a few years ago.....and exploded onto the market at the time like an h-bomb!

It's the sequel to a VERY successful game, and even inspired a third "Spin-off" one...

K, nuff clues for today.... :D

We have a winner!!!

“War, war never changes. The end of the world occurred pretty much as we had predicted, too many humans, not enough space or resources to go around. The details are trivial and pointless: the reasons as always, purely human ones. The earth was nearly wiped clean of life, a great cleansing. An atomic spark struck by human hands, quickly raged out of control. Spears of nuclear fire rained from the skies, continents were swallowed in flames and fell beneath the boiling oceans. Humanity was almost extinguished, their spirits becoming part of the background radiation that blanketed the earth. A quiet darkness fell across the planet lasting many years...â€
- Intro part 2, Fallout 2

One of my favourite games ever. Apart from Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel...

Heh, heh, heh.....nice Avatar, Jeddy...

It's Red Dwarf, ain't it? Can't remember episode, though. Got a buddy that's into it, and he's shown me a VERY few pieces....and, as luck would have it, that sounds like one of his favourites....:)

Dunno 'bout that one.....post it and I'll compare.

For now, though....It comes from a game, a book, and a speech. Name the game, orator or book, and you win! :D

Sounds like it comes from the Bhagavad Gita, the line that was quoted by J. Robert Oppenheimer after the Trinity atomic test was successful in 1944. Although it's typically quoted (as noted above, by Dylan Hunt in Andromeda, for instance) as "Death, the Destroyer of Worlds".

:D

And Jeddy Gets it first! Indeed, Civilization 3....

And, the SFK, yep, it was indeed quoted by J. Robert Oppenheimer, and comes from the Bhagavad Gita, though the actual quotations seem to vary depending on the source....either way, though, it's an interesting one....

So Jeddy, Batter Up!!
