• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

    Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

    We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

That said, this is awesome. An elaborate and massive space station such as this is rarely done! We've seen big starbases and spacedocks, but this is a whole new level. THIS THING IS HUGE.

Heh, at this point, it is just a background object(I replaced the argus array;)) but I will attempt to hardpoint it furtherer to get it to operational status.:)

Yeah, I noticed no problem in FO, but I can easily slim that down by deleting the extra arms and some of the pointy things.:lol2: The spheres can easily be slimmed down too.

If I were to break it up into individual stations I think they wouldn't be any higher than normal stations, so I don't think its a big deal.

I"ll try to get some more pics up later today also. Thanks again guys.:)

Such a station might be something for Homeworld 2.... functioning, including shipbuilding :p

Once I get more of a variety of ships in, I'll take some better shots and some action shots as well.

if I were to release it on its own, how would y'all want it? Its kinda useless as is and I don't really know how to rotate hardpoints, but I can hardpoint it like a regular station, and try it like that, or would you all rather I wait and do something more elaborate with pods and working separate sections?

Edit: @ EAS, yeah I don't know about stock but Storm 3D didn't have a problem and FO doesn't either. I actually think the model is already for homeworld in the Fleet Commander mod, but I think it might be easier to use if it were in a smaller scale mod.

No comments? Well, hopefully this will catch you guy's attention.:p I guess I can use this thread to showcase all my BSG related accomplishments. Whilst adding almost the entire MSFC BSG battle-fleet to my install, I noticed a thing which often bugs me. The Columbia textures look like they are missing panels like the Galactica. Now, I don't know if it is supposed to be like that, but who cares! I can fix it anyways.

So, without further ado, I give you a 'new,' 'bucket' :cool:. Since Maj's awesome ships share textures, I actually ended up making the cygnus and the defender look pretty cool too.:)

Note that the last pic has a slight edit from all the rest. I noticed a problem with the panels I added on the flightpod and bent them a little to match the rest of the texture. Other than that, you get what you see.

Looking great, I really like the enhancements you've done to the PRP ships. How did the Defender and Cygnus come out? Any texture mishaps? They were very difficult to get their textures right when I was doing them.

Nice work. :thumbsup:Might want to think about coping Glactica's crest to the other ships as it look a little bit nicer. The 2 tone seems to add more depth to me but its' you ship.

I quite like the red one, adds a bit more difference to the Galactica hero units and the standard run of the mill production models. :)

Yeah, I changed it to be red because all my other ships had a red one. I like the yellow, but I would also like it if my ships seemed like they were all from the same battle group. I had even considered making them all yellow, or blue, but I liked red the best.

As to the ships, see for your self. I think they turned out quite nicely myself. especially the Cygnus.

yeah, they are separate, but I did hear a really cool idea to have ships be research pods so that they stay docked when they were built.

Also with the research pod idea, you could even have it so that the ship designs are researched there to make them actually useful. Though I can imagine a station that big would have major pathing issues for all nearby ships.

So y'all know I'm a stickler for matching ships, and I love canon designs, I decided to add, and then match the textures of the Berzerk class ship from ff. See what you think. Not exactly going for canon textures at this point, but I just really wanted them to match.:sweat:
