Why Are There No ENT Era Klingon Ships for A2?

I notice that just about every ENT era ship has been made or converted for A2, includign Romulan, Earth, Xindi, and Suliban. But i have not foudn one single Klingon ENT era ship, and there are several good designs out there such as teh Raptor, D5, Early style Bird of Prey, and some unnamed ones. I also know several are out there for BC.
Could any one convert over, or make ENT Klingon Ships please? For reasons i woudl prefer not to go into right now, i am simple not capable of doing SOD/TGA editing. I would be greatful for any help

ok look please.
This is all very difficult for me. All i would like would be the models for teh Klingon ENT ships and also the Sarajevo Class for Starfleet would be neat too. I know all these ships are available too.
I would convert them myself, but it is impossible. I am blind. I have been editing games since around '93. When all my friends gamed, i could not, so instead, i edited. Now, i have been making my armada 2 mod sicne 2004. I just mainly do it for fun and to give osmething to my friends. I have no intention of publishing it or anything. I checked teh readmes for all teh BC ships and they says its ok to use their models, but sinc ei am not planning to publish, but mearly use for personal reason, i think this is nto a problem?
Addition, this site confuses me greatly. Yesterday, i could download files, all but the Colonial DEfense crusier, and now today, i can not download anything.

My wish list is this:
Klingon D-5 & D-5 Tanker
Klingon ENT era BoP
Klingon Raptor Scout
and any other Klingon ENT era shisp out there

I jsut want these for my own use, i hope to hear from some oen out tehre who can send me teh appropriate files. I jsut need teh SOD & TGA fiels along witha HP list/description. And i would be very greatful.
If they are all in teh Yesteryears mod, good, how do i get it?

Like I said read the Yesteryears section, it has all the information on the mods status and the conditions of download when it's complete.

Secondly please keep emails off the boards, its in the rules after all for your protection and lastly if you want something it doesn't usually impress members if you ask them to contact you. Best to PM them, information on how to use the site is in the FAQ section, a link like everything else is in the top navbar.

Fasinating! I find this very interesting to meet someone that is "literally" blind, modding games. I say this with the up most respect too.

Sorry Misha, We are currently implementing some changes in the site to enhance it. That would be the root of the problem here.

As far as the models your are requesting, I can not help you at this present moment, as I am neck deep in the middle of making a "This Site only" exclusive game. I will not be back to modding until May. If at that time, no one has helped you out, I would be glad to looking into converting those files for you. Hopefully, one of the other modeling members here can offer some help between now and then.

it has nothign to do with not knowing the rule nor how to operate a forum. It is simply my TTS program hs had difficulty read yoru site. I posted my contact info because i find communication through icq or email to be more easier for myself. To talk on the forums is extremely time consuming and at tiems frustrating for me. Your website is simply not designed for somoen usign a text-to-speech program and thatas ok, i am sure its notan issue which arrises much. I jsut woudl liek to kwno if anyone coudl do me teh favor of emailing me those ships.

Give it some time. Not everyone visits the forums all at the same time. It could be a few days before anyone offers to help. But usually, someone does if they have the spare time.

Also, no, the site was not built around TTS software. I myself have run some tests with a couple TTS programs on the site here, and your right, they are not that well compatable.

I dont mind waiting. I have been moddign a2 sicne 2004, and looking for those ships for years. I am sure i can wait another few weeks. I went ahead and re-emailed the authors of the BC ships i would liek to see converted. Most say in their readmes to use to for personal use is no problem.
Yeah, i started moddign with wolf 3D, then DOOM, later C&C and REd Alert. I jsut do A2 to keep my skips up to date. Just for fun and when friends come over they often play my mods whiel we all jsut visit.
Too bad no one has made a simpel BC to A2 conversion utility hahah . . . .
I guess if i got permission from the original SOD authors, i coudl post some of my A2 work on here. Its never been important to me to be published. I do it for the fun and for the trouble-shooting aspect of modding. I make all my AIPs and ODFs myself. Since thye are text only, they are perfect for me. YOU KNWO IF I COULD HELp out with any projects you have going, i do have 4 years experience with A2 editing.

I've had a my fair share of problems with the site and I have on interest in bring it up over here or going into it again. At one time I did belive in A2Files supporting me but in the last year it has become another story.

Plus what you roll over at that site has nothing at all to do with how we so called roll over here. We are not part of filefront as thus they have no say in how we run things here.

I find that downgrading towards me, offencive and out of line so I strongly suggest you don't say anything like that to me ever again. You don't know what I have gone through both recently in real life and what has happened over on that site. So I ask you to quit it as right now I am more than annoyed at that.

Um I am a Admin and it states as such that we can edit any post we need to or fell we need to. The staff on A2Files and their forums do exactly the same (edit or delete posts) but get no flak from me like that recent poll comments, plus I did leave the edit tag on the post so everyone knows it was edited. My only other option was to delete it.

Oh and don't ever tell me what to do on my site, people can PM me if they have a problem with an edit and we can discuss it but they can't tell me what to do. I value you as a member of this community but what you just said was out of line, offencive and you really have no grounds to stand on.

well i was thrilled to see the D4 and Raptor onlien today. One questiona nd the Kid maybe you can answer it for me? When i downlaoded the Raptor, it did not come with any texture files. My friend said the SOD was jsut white. Where or how can i get textures for this model?
I tried downloading this model twice and even converting the included 4 bmp files, over to TGA, with no luck. What can i do?
Now if only some oen would convert over the Sarajevo *MPC Class* from BC to A2, i would have all i have wanted.

I didn't check the zip -- my fault. I'm sorry. I've sent a request via the forums for mikemckeon007, the file's author, to resubmit the textures and .SOD file to A2Files at a point some time in the immediate future. Chances are it'll be available in the next few days. When it is, I'll let you know (no hyperlinks this time, though, sorry).

Apologies for the sort of double-post that happens here, but I'm happy to report that mikemckeon007 took the time to port the Sarajevo for you, mishkaco. And this time the textures work!

Well, when i came home this morning, i had received an email from -=WiCKeD=-HARKER, he had converted the Sarajevo for me, i had emailed him that and the J-Class late last week.
I msut also acknowledge he go teh textures on teh Raptor working for me also.
That is not to say i do not appreciate anyone else's hard work for sure.
If i had known how effective posting a request would have been, i would have done it years ago.
I guess the 22nd BoP, D5 Cruiser, and Raptor Scout, are the ENT era Klingon ships in their entirity? So i have exactly what iw as looking for.
Having the Sarajevo now completes my ENT era Federation shipline up.
Only bad thing is i think if i had any more Federation ships to my mod, my friends will kill me lol. They already say there are way too many fed ships in it. oh well, i can always find a place.

If mikemckeon007 posts the re-textured SOD with the .tga textures sometime shortly, you'll have every Klingon ship from Enterprise, that's right. I suppose you just had good timing in asking for things when you did.

FahreS is an awesome guy from Germany, and I admire his talent. Nice of him to do that, too. We can always use a new model or twelve

yeah, i've been talkign with him on icq some tiems, ever since i told him i used his station as the trading outpost for my Stargate race.
I was thinkign today, if i fnd more and more Enterprise era ships, an ENT TC would be in order. Races could be Starfleet, Vulcans, and Andorians v a Suliban & Xindi aliance, and i guess a Klingon & Romulan alliance, since there are not enough Romulan ENT ships.
Are tehre any other Vulcan ships out there besides teh Surok & that future Surok type?

thanks. actually the vulcan ship pack is the very first thing i picked up. i ahd been looking for vulcan ships invane for a logn tiem too. Have you considered do the rest of the ENT Vulcan cruisers? I can think of about 3 others, nto counting shuttles and that oen fighter thing.
Hey question, i am putting all the spiffy new Klingon ships in. I was wondering are any of the A2 stock Klingon service shps *aka Construction, Repair, Freighter, Cargo) cannon? I see onlien there is a 'Civilian' Klingon Transport *the oen Worf blew to hel* and a 'Military' Transport, seen by the Klingons, as well as an 'unknown' class seen at DS9. Are any of these stock in teh game? or are any models of them out there somewehre for download?

I don't think any of the stock Klingon ships are canon.

Unfortunately my skills at modelling are limited to kitbashing. I have a heap of Vulcan kitbashes lying around on my PC half finished but none are canon.

Ok, so no klingon service ship is cannon, got it. How about the Cardassians? I was under the impression at least the Cargo ship was mostly cannon *taken from teh Military TRANsport of Dukat?*
And speaking of vulcan ships, i do see on BC.files.com that there is a Surak Class, which i read is a variant of teh Surrok/Surok, made more war like.
Some oen should make teh space shuttle lol, just for ****s and giggles. Discovery v Bird Of Prey..? it woudl be epic

Yes the Cardassian cargo ship is canon, Dukats freighter Grumall. The others are not. Activision/Mad Doc really should have made more canon classes into Armada 2 but instead made a lot of these non canon ones.

One of the old mods had a S T S shuttle, along with several other "real world" space objects, like the I S S space station. I just can not remember which mod that was.

thanks Dan1025, please let me know when you finish with yoru Vulcan mod, i would be interested. One thing i am is a expert ODF writer, no problem tehre. Would you consider posting just the TGAs & SODs for any of the cannon Vulcan ships over at filefront?
As for the ISS & shuttle. I did go over to AFC a couple days ago tryign to find Birth of the FEderation....i typed it int eh search and got back "no results found." Any other suggestions? I wanted to use teh r/l space ships for my Stargate full race mod. The ISS woudl be cool as a research station and the shuttle...as...well i do not kwno what, but hey why not?
Icq is the best way to contact me all... so if anyone can give ma a link to those ships or the BotF mod, over icq, cool.

Amateur I believe is planning on making one after he finishes his Clone Assault mod. Perhaps contacting him and offering your services as a ODFer might be a good idea.

Hey could anyone retexture the merchantman to be like the Klingon Civilian Transport, and make the Cardie cargo ship green and add warp engines, to make the Military Transport? i woudl think that would not be too hard...or am i mistaken?

I converted the Merchant man a while ago that came with a texture for both the Klingons and Cardassians if I recall. I will have a look for you at a later date after I email some kitbashes to Achilles and some files to RJB.
