Which style colour are you using?

With the launch of v7 of MSFC, for the first time it has allowed members to choose which style/skin is displayed. We have launched with 5 versions, a red, blue, green, orange and grey version.

I'm curious which version you're using and what do you think of them.

The below images show the original skin as it was when I downloaded it. I did a fair amount of editing on it. Much as which you can't see in these images:



The red was modified (in fact it's the parent skin for the blue, green, orange and grey), the orange had a massive change as I didn't like the original one, too bright and the green I actually didn't touch a thing other than having the custom manner and logos and inheriting all my changes from the red skin.

Thanks, the blue I did myself, took a fair amount of work as I had to try and find a balance between not too dark nor too light.

Grey for me

Considering the suggestions over the years you've made for MSFC skins I decided to make the grey one with you in mind. You could say it was made just for you.

I'm using red at the moment myself but will probably change at a later date. Seems only orange is left.

Yes it's quite possible I could do more colours in the future. If you or anyone else have any particular requests drop them down in this thread.

I think the Red looks awesome, but have gone for the blue one for now. They all look great though.

I too like the green, goes with my romulan and reman!

They do all look great. It's hard to decide, but I think the red really stands out nicely. I like the blue, but blue on black is very hard for my eyes. Sort of like looking at a black light. The grey was nice, but to me is a tad too subtle. Red it is!

I think yellow would look pretty cool. Not super bright, but just a touch darker.

I think purple would be a nice option too. Maybe a couple of different shades of the colors as well?

Another question just occurred to me. Is there any way to do an actual style customization or is it just colors? It would be neat if a user could select a Star Trek style or some other they may like.

I'm sticking with red right now, but I'm also leaning towards grey. We'll see what looks the best on my laptop once I get home.

Currently I'm using a tablet on the bus ride back to Idaho...joy of joys that trip haha

Another question just occurred to me. Is there any way to do an actual style customization or is it just colors? It would be neat if a user could select a Star Trek style or some other they may like.

That would require a total re-design of the skin which would be for me a couple weeks worth of work. So for now at least it's just colours. I might in the next upgrade look at doing something like you suggested, might be fun.

I was thinking of a purple colour as one of the next colours if members would like more choices. Yellow was another choice I was considering.
