• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Pretty much exactly what I was going to say. The community on this site is an amazing group of people, and I've always been proud to be a part of it :)

The people here are awesome.:D I also like that while it's still basically an Armada site, we can talk about pretty much anything.

Hmmm what of MSFC appeals to me?????????

The community is tight knit and very cool.

MSFC is not just a gaming site for armada but a sci-fi portal if you will.

Its a cool place to discover something new weather it be music or a movie or whatever.

The art thats available here weather it be a SOD or a digitial masterpeice is top notch and profesionally done.

Its just a great spot to stop off at during my daily trek thru the interweb.

Some more thoughts on why MSFC appeals to me:

People here have accepted me with open arms. Warts and all. They treat me as someone who matters. They listen with courtesy and respect to what I have to say. Especially when they disagree with my opnion or viewpoint. Those of you who've known me for a long time know I am not shy about expressing my opinion on something. I can play the loose cannon very well. It is a role I am quite comfortable in and rather enjoy actually. What's wrong with a little contentiousness among friends now and then, ay? I prefer not to act this way unless there is a real need for it. But when there is a need for it, I do not hesitate. In the past, this tendency has made some people uncomfortable. Unless they profited by it. I have also at times rather naively allowed others to manipulate me into saying things they could not say for themselves for various reasons. Or they would not say these things for themselves because they lacked the moral courage to act correctly under all circumstances. Regardless of the consequences.

Principles are principles. One either has them or not. There really is not a middle ground here. Something I find most appealing about here is the simple knowledge people here at MSFC have principles. Doing/saying the right thing at all times under all conditions without hesitation, regret, or worrying for one nanosecond what others will think is a very rare commodity in the 21st Century on planet Earth.

What appeals to me about MSFC is that it's a professional, yet laid-back and tight-knit crew. The people are almost open-minded enough to accept a rogue like me into the place, and though it's taken since my membership began in 2006, some people around here will actually reply to something I post. That makes me feel as if I might be semi-important! It's not the kind of treatment I get on most sites, where everyone else is awesome and I am just dead wrong.

lol, I like the family, or at least friendly, feeling you get here. Most other places just don't entice me.

I haven't posted enough to be able to download any of the resources, but I really like how it seems to be a one stop shopping modding source.
