Hello all,
This is another project I have been working on and I am nearly complete. For those of you who have been around for sometime, you are no doubt familiar with this, those that aren't your in for a treat.
The USS Midway from the Star Trek: Adventures of Midway RPG is due to be released here soon for Armada 2.
Major Payne originally made the model some years ago answering a request from me back when I was on Armada Fleet Command. However I was not at all fond on the textures. Now that I know my way around MS3D I have gone back, fixed up some mesh errors, mainly the welding of faces and have re-textured it using Aad Moreman's Sovereign and Akira textures. Also I used Aad Moreman's Akira deflector and housing rather than the original used by Major Payne. I found Aad Moreman's to not only fit the model better but also the textures (considering they were originally made for the mesh).
I still have a bit of texturing to do, I am also aware of the stretch of the textures. However it was a rather difficult mesh to re-texture and I had to compromise. I do however think the stretch is barely noticeable and in the end when you're playing with the model in-game you won't really see it.
I have also back last June, been given permission by Major Payne to re-texture and kitbash his models so the permissions are all set.
