• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Let me start at the beginning....

My name as many of you know is Timothy, and I am a father of a 14 month old Down Syndrome boy, whos name is Timothy II.

I found out about Timmy having Down Syndrome when he was 2 days old. And I have been doing non-stop research on the internet about Down Syndrome, and within that research I came across an actor by the name of Chris Burke, a Down Syndrome actor. Some of you who are around my age may remember a show called "Life goes on" Chris Burke is known for his infamous role of Corky Thatcher.

Well, I ended up renting the entire series from Netflix, and it touched me. But I just got done watching another show from Netflix with Chris in it. It's called "Touched by an Angel" He was in two episodes. "An Angel by any other name..." and "Greater expectations." It wasn't to these 2 episodes that really brought me to tears. Watching these made me cry because I got to thinking about what my son can and cannot achieve.

I believe in Timmy with all my heart, and I know that NOTHING will be impossible for him!

The purpose of this thread is to ask one simple question. Has there been a show, an episode, a movie, anything that has truelly brought you to tears. Something that you watched, or even experienced that made you sit back and really think. Something that touched your heart in a way it has never been touched before and cried.....Answer this, Have you ever been Touched by an Angel?

I would say that my life has been "touched by an angel" many times. There are movies that will stir up great emotions in me. Many because they remind me of feelings towards friends or family in the past. I have lived through and walked away from many situations that should have atleast seriously ended my life. I believe I speak about one of the moments in another thread about a family of deer on the highway. Also, My youngest son is a miracle. My ex was told after our first child that she might not be able to have anymore because she had constantly kept losing the baby she was carrying. You might find this funny but I named him Timothy. I told her from the moment she was pregnant that she would have a boy and what his name would be. He has turned out to be my exact duplicate. Minus the health problems I had as a child. I thank God every day for that. The reason he is a miracle on top of that is when he was a baby. His mother was alone at the house with him and thought he was a frog. So, she held him under his bathwater. Thankfully for some reason she realized he was not. She is no longer allowed alone with the kids and Timothy does not remember anything about it. Infact he loves the water. He would swim in the deep end of the pool if we did not watch him. That is atleast alittle of my experiance.

Well said CF. I remember you telling me about the "frog" It's amazing that the "One" we believe in, whoever it may be, works in misterious ways. Say hi to the little bugger for me.

Anyway, anything else anybody would like to add?
