Ah, the wonderful symphony of the Seraphim, Gryphon and Interceptor. Great work man!

Will also have to try that new map of yours, I think I still have the old version in my bzn map folder. :lol2:

Been playtesting the new map I sent in. It's called, "Latinum Rush v2.0" Harvested some backgrounds from FO for my A2 install. They ook pretty nice and show off the A2 ships just as well as they do the FO ones.

Looking good mate, totally unrelated, but in my Midway FF, the Midway has Defiant and Valiant class vessels as escorts.

But the Interceptor is a small ship and would work well too.

Hello:
I love the Gryphon class fighter... nuff' said! :D.

No really, I always loved that class of fighters, they look very well with the Seraphim class and with the Interceptors too, they kinda have a similar feel so I think it fits very well.

And the Klingon ship looks like it is in trouble against those Cardassian Drones .

Klingons are not the only ones in trouble. I've decided to go over to the Obsidian Order. I find their goals and mine match almost perfectly. :lol2:

Hello:
Those are amazing pics, I like how the phaser passes barely next to the Cardassian ship (it's crew must have been like  ). And the background in the last pic is outstanding, like you can have the battles then you can do peaceful exploration, but with a map like that, with those elements, I wouldn't get tired of been there.

I've just finished another new map. This is a four player map called "Hades Verdant". I sent in the previous map, Latinum Rush v2.0 via the Files email account, but I must have done something incorrect because it is not hosted for D/L yet. So I guess I'll have to wait until I figure out what I did wrong. There is probably someone in Malaysia or Hong Kong wondering why I would send them two files which make no sense along with such a tiny picture, lol.

Hades Verdant is the map I was writing about over in my Map Lighting posts. I got a little motivated and decided to finish up the first draft of it so I could begin playtest. The first playtest went well enough I was hesitant to change anything else, so I decided to call it complete and work up all the things needed to install the map fully and to prep for upload. As soon as Latinum Rush v2.0 gets sorted on the upload side, I'll send this one along.

No rush on the upload, Maj, since tomorrow is your birthday. I have rediscovered my zest for making maps which I thought I misplaced. I have a couple more ideas I'd like to try out. I want to point out my maps are made/tested in my custom install. This has a modified version of MU v2.01 installed. Yacuzza's suns and lens flares are so verah kewel! I've no idea at all what these maps look like in Stock or in someone else's install. I'd kinda like to start 'tuning' my maps a little. So they match other people's installs of A2 and can look nicer everywhere instead of just on my monitor. So I have a favor to ask. Could someone who has D/L'd one of my maps and used it please post a pic or two here? The feedback would be most helpful for preventing my new maps from looking ugly inside your own game. These pics do not have to be Jetfreak quality, just a quick screen grab while playing. And thanks in advance for the help.

I did convert one of my maps, Klingon Glacis, to FO specs for my own use and I was surprised at how boring it looked and played. It lacked that little 'zing' factor I always try hard to place in my maps. I even removed the wormhole pairs so it would be online compatible. I dunno, it may all be simply first time I did this stuff, but for now I think I'll not convert any others until I get more comfortable with FO.

One of the most difficult of all land combat operations is an obstacle breach. One of the things armies train for the most is a forced river crossing. I did a map for A2 trying hard to simulate this nearly a year ago, tested it a few times and then got distracted(Oooh! Look! Shiinee! rofl) by something and forgot the map. Updating my compressed install the other day I rediscovered it. After a few tweaks to the lighting and moving some other things around, I have just sent it in via the files email. It is called, Crossings. It is probably the biggest map I've done so far in terms of objects and size. Hopefully, others will enjoy it as much as I did while making it.

Hello:
And I hope so too. I like your way of thinking for map making, because it is more plausible in a space environment, and also adds more fun if we need to fight for resoruces and to make things hard to go from one point to the other.... I hope with no need to make things way too much difficult or impossible because I think that is not fun either.

Keep it up!.

Dan's remake of his Intrepid class is surely a thing of beauty, is it not?
