Has anyone been able to import the stock models:

  • ffreight
  • rmining
  • kmining

I have tired with two different MS3D versions and I have been unfortunate enough only to succeed in crashing MS3D. Can anyone import the models? If so could you send me the m3sd files of the stock models for me?

Thanks in advance to anyone whom can assist me in this.

I've got Kfreight and Rfreight, but there seems to be some model lighting error for the Ffreight.SOD, so it can't be imported. I'll send the two I have ASAP

Thanks however I don't need kfreight or rfreight but their mining stations. But thanks anyway. I too get the lighting error issue with these (kmining, ffreight and rmining).

Gah, sorry I read over it too fast and didn't check back

I just tried myself on the right models now, and they seem to have the same error. I have a feeling that they may be the same models back from Armada 1, and they weren't carried over properly, and henceforth the error.

Of course, this is a simple layman's point of view, I'm not that a great one for modeling issues.

I fear you may be right in this, as I have tried several different methods and I haven't had any luck.

I may be able to get permission to re-texture the mining stations for the Klingons out of BIVR however it's the classic Romulan mining station that I really like. Looks like I may have to try my hand at modelling a new one myself. Something I was hoping to avoid.

Might wanna seek out permission from the FleetOps team to edit their station if the mood suits you. They made a Romulan mining station that is heavily based on the classic mining station.

Heres what I got. I have the versons on both stations from KA2 if you want them and you can import the data minner mesh and use it for the ffreight mesh.

How about using the original Armada I meshes? Maybe they can be imported into MS3D.

I am considering re-doing the cargo ships and trading stations as well. As for a pack I don't know yet. Firstly I need to get permissions from Aad Moerman, which has been sent for the two freighters but not for anything else yet and secondly I would want to know if there is a need and want for them. But that's for the other thread. :)

I did try that but unfortunately it didn't work either. Probably due to the sods being too old as I got the lighting error as I did with the A2 sods. Even CV didn't load them. However I have got the mining stations now. :)
