Well, sorry for not being teamed up earlier yesterday guys... I was in a mission and I just couldn't get distracted. (Those Reman D'Deridex variants are HELL!)

Now I have achieved the rank of Captain. And still within my first four weeks of gameplay. I'm guessing I could be "skilled" to some degree... either that... or I am just rankup crazy. I still have the USS Polaris but right now its sitting in wait at the shipyard while I get to try out my brand new Exploration cruiser.... USS Eternal Solstice!

btw... if anyone wants some plasma torpedoes for Commander+ rank. I got some MK VI's. I also have Quantum torpedoes for those that want them.

I however am looking for something of interest, I need Borg components. I'll easily trade a torpedo launcher for each. Or 15000 energy credits each.

I am also looking to update to newer Quantum torpedoes, if anyone has some between VII and IX. I'll take them happily.

No worries regarding the teaming. As for the Borg parts, they are only available for Vice Admirals. You will need to complete STFs to get them

Now that it's F2P i may give STO a try, but looking at the times you folks are online it's hard to take part. The times you're suggesting is around 2-4am GMT+1 and although I'm a night person i do need some sleep now and then.

The fleet is now formed. So far the Roster consists of myself, Majestic, and Katala. Anyone wanting entry into the fleet, send either one of us a request in game.

Congratz! I think I probably got Captain maybe an hour or 2 before you did

Well if you are rank up crazy then we (Majestic and I) are rank up insane, we did it in less than 2 weeks hehe
But in our defense we wanted to level as high as possible before we start our courses next week and are reduced to an hour or so a day if we are lucky.

Those times were mainly suggested for forming the fleet, however its already formed now so I don't know about the others but Maj and I are & will be on at random times, if not both of us than at least one of us

Scarlon has also joined the fleet.

Adm_Z, Scarlon and I had a game today, helped to get Adm_Z up a little in rank and skills. New players to STO are welcomed to joined just contact SciFiFan, Katala or myself in-game and we'll add you. All members will normally start out as a Sargent in the Fleet. The three Tri-Council members still need to get together to work out some finer details.

Hey guys, uhm... I seem to be having an issue to where my shields are good, but my structural integrity seems to be burned away quickly. I'm curious, is there any consoles or things that could increase the strength of my structural integrity.

Also, I am thinking of trading a few things off. Does anyone want a tactical console MK VII? I think its a purple level so it'd be very rare in quality.

Sometimes I find my hull just goes down due to something the enemy does, the same happens on the ground incredibly annoying.

As for the console what does it offer, like what bonuses?

It gives a significantly high amount of Polaron Bonus. Plus its the first of its kind I saw. I salvaged it from a Hirogen I destroyed.

What do you want for it? I don't have much in the way of items, but would be interested in purchasing it.

To boost your hull you could use the SIF Generator. Also, check your skill points. Make certain you have points in the area that increases hull strength. Also keep in mind, escorts tend to get chewed up quite easily. The tradeoff is that they are fast, agile, and do quite a bit of damage. Cruisers are the tanks. With the right build, they can be quite difficult to take down. The tradeoff is that they tend to be slow and turn like a rock.

What about on the ground, when a enemy does something and everything goes white and you shield and health just drains incredibly fast?

Your body armor and shields are your first protection. Pay close attention to your armor. It will let you know what attributes it has. I will have to take a look at the skill tree again to see which areas boosts your ground defense.

Hmmm.... I could accept any of the following:
- Rare quality Science officer (preferably female; non-human)
- Dilithium
- Energy Credits
- Duty Officers (I need a Doctor, a Conn officer, or a Astrometric Scientist)

But if you don't have these available, I can accept whatever you'd like to offer.

Ah okay thanks, I'll look at that more closely. Also another question, with ships, I have an tactical character, so would it be better to get a tactical ship or does it not matter in the long run?

Dilithium is bound and not tradeable plus I'm saving up to buy an additional ship with it. Energy Credits can't be traded as far as I know, if I am wrong I'll be happy to buy it. I don't have the bridge/duty officers to trade.

Perhaps if you tell me how much it is I can give you an item of equal value for you to either sell on the exchange or recycle.

Before Free to Play, it did matter because you had to spec into certain types of vessels. They got a lot of ire from the community upset over the fact that every time they wanted to change ships, they had to respec. They ended up combining all vessels. This really opened up game play. Now you can use which ever type of ship that fits your play style. If you want survivability, go cruisers. If you want maneuverability, use escorts. If you want to buff and debuff, use science.

Energy credits are indeed trade-able. You have to be with a certain range of the player you want to trade with. Left click on the player and a menu will pop up. Select "Trade" and it will give you a spot where you can type in how much EC you want to give. You can also trade non-bound items in the same manner.

How much money do you get for recycleing your items? Is it better to recycle, trade to a merchant or sell on the exchange?

I reassessed and apperently it had no uncommon values. But still, its values around 6000 energy credits. I'll give you the real number when I am online today. I can trade anytime between 3:00pm and 10:30pm GMT -5:00.

Recycling gives 40% of value at most. Sometimes merchants will pay good money for things rare to their area. But overall not much more. The best thing todo is to put it on the exchange or trade it with someone you know. You can easily sell common things for 50% to 80% of value. Uncommon and Rara at 65% to 90%, and Very rare from 90% and up.

Cool, I made about 22k yesterday by selling some stuff on the exchange, so I guess it was the best I probably could have done.

I wish my inventory was bigger... I keep having to dump stuff in the bank because all the anomalies I scan end up filling my inventory.

Remember, stack anomolies of the same type. It saves space. Sometimes but not always, it does not automatically stack.

I won't be on till late today, very late in fact, unless I am able to get an exemption from my midday class. Maybe tomorrow?

Thanks, I still think I'll stick with the escort with my next rank, just that I already have the tactical officers set-up and can't justify getting rid of one.
