• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

I havent watched the show regularly since Richard Dean Anderson left so i dont know if this is the caliber of show that has been going on for the past few seasons, but That was NOT the way to end the show after 10 years. im sorry i just needed to vent.

Admin Mode: Please use spoiler warnings in the title as not all of us have seen the latest seasons of the latest sci-fi shows (Most people outside the US haven't). Also try and use proper capitalisation and punctuation.

I specifically didn't say anything more specifically about it so it wouldnt spoil it for anyone. I was just stating my opinion of the episode. It in NO way lets anyone know what happened.

I just feel it was a huge letdown for all the SG-1 fans.

Granted you didn't give away anything, but it doesn't mean another member who replies to the thread won't, threads like this have a happen of getting quite detailed.

i agree that it was a letdown, it would have been better as a 2 hour finally that explained stuff better.

I liked it. Not the best but it was good. I don't think they could have done anything to make a proper ending to such a great series. That would raise the question. Is there a proper way to end a great series like Stargate?

I think they had to make the episode in a hurry, since USA-Networks didn't pick it back up for another season. They were rushed, and they did a good job, after all is said and done.

Let's not forget, this is NOT the end of SG1. They are going to do atleast 2 Direct-to-DVD movies. Each one will be equal to 3 episodes in actual run time. The Ori arc is not complete. Then there is also SG-A now. It's getting more attention now with SG1 now a movies series. We will see repeat appearances by most of the SG-1 team, including Anderson.

Yeah it definalty seemed like the episode was half thought out and thrown together kinda half heartedly.

And I dont know if I am ashamed to say it or not but I had their plan figured out before they even said it on the show..... I think im way too much of a sci fi geek lol.

and as for the two movies thats Awesome. I cant wait to see them.

I feel that the episode was done the way it was done because by now they figure that 99.9999% of the Stargate fans know there are going to be movies, the first movie is said to finish the Ori story arc, hence why this episode ended the way it did.

Was anyone else upset about the Asgard though? This is something I would have expected to see a little more about, not just oh look, the Asgard are going to give us all this really cool stuff, then commit mass suicide...

Yea without anymore word before hand and suddenly asgard weapons are strong enough to destroy ori ships even when stuck on earth ships( season 9 finally battle they wernt that strong ). Id have though the humans would have had to make a new ship to incorperate all the techs etc. Been a while since i klast watched season 10 so maybe missed some stuff about the tech.

yea, but, there is one problem, they only refitted one ship, and they didnt show us how to reproduce the stuff they had.

and no a side note, i was hoping for a new ship class for the apllo on the Atlantis finally

That makes things even worse. I was expecting s 10 to be more headed up to 1 major battle or something at the last ep. I do like that it allows for more storyline.

Just a little side note here. SGI season 10 will be out on DVD here in the States July 24th.

I would like to ask that we refrain from spoiling too much here. Several countries have not seen this episode yet, and will not until the end of this year. Since we are a multi-national forum, we must be kind enough to those that are patiently waiting to watch it still. We can talk about how great or not it was, as most of these posts have done. Just be sure to think how you would feel if someone spoiled something you were wait to see...

I thank you for your cooperation.

You need to keep in mind that it isn't really the end, this episode sets the scene for the first of the straight to dvd movies.
