• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

OK, I am slow. I didn't realize this until maybe last week but it appears that Starships have repair droids. Now I made my peace about how Canon never existed, and Continuity is a subject best handled by people so they don't repeat the same mistakes you made in the past. Yet after the Ultimate computer, and seeing that the only android producing facility is on Mudds World, or planet...where did these droids come from? I mean it was covered in TNG, with a pretty straight forward problem with creating droids (unless you regularly erase their memory I guess). I mean sure they make great machines, but we aren't talking a robotic arm welding car parts, we are talking an instrument that can make repairs on call that has to have some kind of processor or Brain to handle all the task that is needed, and apparently seem to gain personalities. This is great, so...why do we need Starships? A crew? A Captain? It's amazing how much Star Wars crap you can fit into Star Trek isn't it? Anyways I am sure a lot of people will look at this as old news none the less, inquiring minds need to know, If we had all these droids, what happened to all those poor souls that had to go into a pod, or a Radiation filled compartment to save the day?
