• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Why is it they cant have a single episode of doctor who where the main suprise bad guy isnt reveal well before the episode, thankfully last episode they just put to be continued but there had been so many adverts and previews i think my dad must have been the only person in the uk who didnt know the daleks were coming.

What im trying to say is they should have more suprise appearances rather than pasting them over the front cover of the radio times ect.

I know its to gain public intrest but how many people who dont normaly watch doctor who are going to watch just beacuse the daleks are on?

You never know, there might have been a few fans of the older series (seventh doctor and before) that haven't yet given the new series a chance yet but who might have been drawn back by the Daleks return

I dont think todays daleks would appeal to fans of the old show who dont like the new one, what with the flying and so forth

I'll introduce you my future mother in law, she actually rang me up just to check that she had seen the advert right, but I surpose that makes 2 people in the entire UK, counting your dad.....

Considering that the Daleks were also able to 'fly' in the original series (albeit it more like how a bullet train levitates), i'm not entirely sure that stands...

I still think thats the motivation though

In all fairness, if Doctor Who lacked the Daleks and Cybermen, would you not be dissapointed? I would.

I know also that they could do with showing less of the 'big bad guys' but then, there really would be no point to having a trailer.
