• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Just wondering what folks think of the USS ENTERPRISE D being used at all in Picard? I view is as a Great tip of the hat to the Galaxy class starship, but not exactly realistic or logical.

I think most of us were willing to ignore the questionable logic involved in the D's appearance because we're just really happy to see it again. If you grew up watching TNG - even if only the reruns, like I did - this was pure nostalgia fuel, and I think in many ways it was a satisfying conclusion to the story of the ship and its crew. And to be honest, there are quite a few things in this season of the Picard series that, in my opinion, make considerably less sense than the fact Geordi just so happens to have the Enterprise-D ready to go in a space dock.

agreed, tho I admit that this episode was the only one of Picard that I have watched as of yet. mainly due to my wierd work hours... I plan to watch the entire series soon tho. I was very pleased to see the Galaxy class Enterprise on screen once again myself. regardless of the highly flawed story logic. I don't know about others, but in my house we affectionately refer to the Galaxy class of starship as the "Lead Sled". partly due to its HORRID design, God awful performace during the Dominion war era, Things turned out to be a bigger threat to their crews and other starfleet and allied ships than to the Jem'Hadar! LOL and partly in honor of a famed United States air force fighter/Bomber the F-105 "Thunderchief".
