[Help] Ship works fine, bu causes CTD if built from the shipyard

I have a rather strange issue. I have a ship that works fine if I spawn it in the map editor. It works fine if I spawn it as a standardunit at the beginning of the game. But it causes an immediate CTD if I try to build it from the shipyard.

Did anyone ever encountered anything like that before? What could be the cause and what would be the solution?

Thanks for the help in advance!

It's been a while since did any modding. It sounds like it is not an issue with the unit itself but rather the shipyard you build it from. I'll do some digging around and reply here again unless one of our more active modders answers first.

EDIT: You can Google Westorld's Big Book of Modding. This will tell you anything you need. It seems either something is missing in the shipyard odf or the tech tree file. Check both and make certain everything is there. Also, if I recall, make certain the build button file name matches the ship. If they are not, then the game would be looking for something that technically isn't there.

Hello:
That is an strange issue, maybe there is a typo in the buildtime of the ship? If you find no typos then maybe you can copy-paste the odfs here?

After a few hours of work I figured it out. Some special weapons can be attached to the "root" hardopint and some will cause a CTD if the station builds the ship. You learn something new every day :)

Thanks for the help, at least I rediscovered Westorld's Big Book.
