Today with all that has been going on I finally took some of Katala's advice and just tried to relax. Modelling wasn't working out for me nor was hardpointing, both were just frustrating me to no end.

I wasn't in much of a writers mood, having a bit of writers block so my last alternative to turning a game on was to do some graphic work, to try and regain the skills I lost while I was offline during the moving weeks.

Anyway I decided to make some logo's for my fan fiction. What started out as a simple muck around logo turned into something I actually quite liked. I actually did two versions, one for Midway itself and one for it's spin-off series that Syf wants to write down the track. So here we have them.

Spoiler: About the Legacy Era

The Legacy Era is a prequel to Midway that portrays the Adventures of the USS legacy and it's Captain, Maxwell Syf before and during the outbreak of war with the Breen.

Maxwell Syf is a invention by our very own Syf has been around just as long as the John Majest character. In this series Syf is new to the Captain chair, with the Legacy as his first command. Captain Syf at this time is very much like Majest in Midway, he has to learn the burdens of command in a changing galaxy and evolve into the character that appears in Midway, being the confident Captain that tried to recruit John Majest as his XO. The series will also cover undisclosed facts like the Federation's recovery from the Dominion war and the events that eventually lead to the Breen war. All in all it tells the untold stories that are only vaguely mentioned as side notes in Midway.

I tried to make the logos represent their respective series as best as I could, with the Midway logo darker than the Legacy logo showing Legacy in the golden age of these two perspective eras. I think I achieved this fairly well without going overboard.

I really like the orientation of the badge along with the text, gives it a very dynamic and unique feel.

Thanks, I thought having it on a lean looked better than the usual standard way or on the side like some favourite as well.

I'll probably refine the designs a little more down the track, but I won't be adding anything else to them (it would look too cluttered if I did) I will just fix up the bars behind the text a bit.
