I'm getting close to HPing and doing the ODFs so I need to secure the permissions or replace the remaining original parts. I don't want to do that he gave me a solid foundation to work with and I only replaced the parts I did due to needing her to match the Constitution in the mod.

While I'm a fan of the idea on TNG ships, it doesn't looks that good on TOS vessels. That said, I'm in love with the idea. Maybe more stripping on the saucer and stardrive to help make the colors stand out, as right now, it's very hard to tell they have division colors on them.

Well I only tried it out after realizing that the blue that's on the 11' enterprise shooting miniature was the same color as Spock's uniform. I took the blue on all the other ships and worked out based on class or history who was a Red shirt and obviously the DN was Gold.

Well we've seen it in the Cali class.
I'm actually sort of ok with the idea, I think it's just a bit too in you face with some of them. Two suggestions:
- faded colours, the blue and yellow are ok but the red is a bit too solid.
- use highlights instead of painting whole sections. The full neck on the Connie and Federation don't look right, the partial paints on the scouts look better. Consider the Connie refit stripes for inspiration.

OK as you can see in the first picture the neck is all painted blue. This style of hull marking is apparently common on starfleet vessels through out the 2240s and 2250s. the second pic shows the series neck which comes into use very late in the 2250s and holds into the early 2270s when the refit ear begins. The models in their current form represent these ships during the 2240s. With that context in mind I don't see a justifiable reason for one color to be painted different to all the rest. Now I can adjust the red but I was working off remastered photos of the dress uniforms for color samples. thoughts?

Yes. The SFB story revolves around 3 major conflicts, The General War, the Pacification War, and the Andromedan Invasion. During the General war the Alliance (Federation, Gorn, Kzinti, Hydrans, and Tholians) fought the Coalition (Romulans, Klingons, and Lyrans). The Orlon cartels, the Wyn cluster, and the Lyran Democratic Republic where titularly neutral in this conflict. The Coalition started the war.

That's Milkshape3D they're being shown in, so they're most likely 3D models ready to be exported to whatever formats MS3D supports.

You've done really well on these mate. Top form. The D6 I especially like blending SFB and Axanar designs.
