• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Yep. After posting in the Introductions area, a moderator has to upgrade you to full member. It looks like you're set now (your rank changed). The whole process is to help keep out spam bots.

Forgot to stop in and say, "Hi! Welcome!" earlier. Please excuse my poor manners. As to liking VOY, no apologies needed. One of the nicer things about Star Trek is it really is big enough to allow plenty of room for people liking a specific part.

Almost correct CABAL. ;)

The process is that well after registration a profile has to be authorised by an Admin. This is done solely to make sure that the profile isn't by a well known spammer (we use an internet spam list to check IP, Host and email addresses include the host). After an approval a member needs to post in this section to introduce themselves. It allows people to get to know them and breaking the ice much easier and many gain some friends from doing so as well which is a plus to all involved.

After the initial post a automatic promotion (done by the system every hour) is done and the member is moved from Registered Users to the Community Users usergroup. This allows them to be able to access the rest of the forums and utilise the site. However there are a few features that must be earned through participating on the forums, they aren't too strict and one can really get there in a few days easily without spamming.

This was all put in place due to previous incidents that happened. Like many sites MSFC had a founding and growth phase where spammers and the like too full advantage of us and we had all sorts of junk posted my new members and it took us Admins and moderators ages to clean up, and that was with us keeping on top of it everyday as well.

It's great to have you here Adm_Z, any friend of RyderStorm's is a friend of mine. Oh and don't worry about Voyager being your favourite series, at least two of the three Admin's here have Voyager in their top two favourite series as well, one of them is me.

Almost correct CABAL.
Eh, I got the general idea.

Voyager wasn't really as bad as the FO regulars make it out to be. If absolutely nothing else, it was fun to watch. Why worry about technical inconsistencies in Voyager while praising TOS, which didn't even attempt to have set things that technologies could or couldn't do? It also introduced more Borg vessels and gave them their more menacing appearance. I still think that TNG Cubes have a sort of wheat thin texture.

That you did.

I also agree, DS9 had some major ones as well, so why just focus on the VOY inconsistencies? If your to discredit one Star Trek series, you have to look at all of them in the same light as none were perfect and it's more about the story rather than how much power a phaser at level 12 produces, or how fast warp 3 is.
