• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Hello and Greetings everyone!

My name is Alex (Admiral*Alex). I've been a Trekkie since I was a young lad but as I'm a second generation Trekkie (my dad grew up watching TOS live) Trek has been in my blood since before I was born. While I'm not an amazing artist or ship modeler (I'm just a fan), I love the work that everyone puts on their models. I was impressed with many of the models on ArmadaFilesArchieve.com, then I was blown away by the quality of models here. I don't know why I didn't discover this site before, but I'm glad I know about it know.

P.S. #1:
I've just started modding Armada 2, so if you see a lot of really simple questions about modding, that's why.

P.S. #2:
Please forgive me in advance for any strange formatting in anything I post. I may be young, but my eyes are old.

Please refrain from using text colors and bold formatting on whole post ~ Hellkite

Alex, welcome to our little home away from home. We can't all be modellers - someone has to actually play with the meshes we put out :lol2:. I recommend Aads ships for replacing the stock in game models.

We're not just about modelling, we do have a number of other sub-forums on a variety of sci-fi, although I admit they are rather under-utilised.

Feel free to ask questions, A2 has a lot of annoying gotchas when it comes to modding (I once got caught out using the wrong sort of speech mark because I'd copy pasted code from an email!). Don't forget that we also have a search function just below the coloured menu bar.

Oh, and don't feed the animals, they sometimes bite.

Hi mate and welcome to the site, great to have a new member into modding such an old game. Not many people left doing that but they're still around and visit here frequently.

Please refrain from using text formatting such as bold when posting.

I hope you enjoy your time here and feel free to ask any questions we're always happy to help answer them.

We're happy to help! And remember, there's no such thing as a stupid question.

On the other hand, there are also a few highly exploitable quirks. Some of the things you can't do seem like they should be really easy, and some other things that you can do sound impossible at first. And sometimes you can do something if you try really hard, but it requires sixty ODFs per ship. At least we have FO to simplify things.

Sorry about that. This morning it was quite hard to read what I typed, but I guess I was still waking up.

Not to be a pain in the a**, but is enlarged text okay? I wasn't joking about having bad eye eyesight. If that's also a no, what options are there?

I already discovered one of those. I got an Uber Prometheus which thanks to the MVAM, I could turn a Galaxy into a Prometheus in the Fed Campaign. Saving the Enterprise from both the Borg and the Romulans was quite easy.

By holding the { ctrl+alt & moving wheel on the mouse up } will in in cress the zoom on most browser windows without you having to type in larger text. Also you can change the resolution and size of text to meet your needs in your display settings in windows or in your control panel in windows ease of access

Welcome to the MSFC !

It's more of color contrast on certain websites so it's not a constant issue.

However, your first solution works great. (I'm using it right now). Thanks.
