• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

    Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

    We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Humble is giving away a pack of stuff for Warframe. It contains a Foxglove Syndana, 200,000 credits, and some affinity and resource boosters. Go here, scroll down to the Warframe thing, and just enter your email address. You can un-check the newsletter subscription box and there is no need to buy anything, including the bundle. Once you get the code emailed to you, go here and input the code. I had to log out and log back in first, but it worked fine after that.

Shadowrun Returns is free on Humble. I recommend it, but I'll also add that the other two Shadowrun games by that team, Dragonfall and Hong Kong, are better. Anyway, get Returns, and if you enjoy that go for the other two. All three are on sale on both Humble and Steam, too.

Apparently, the Traitor's Keep DLC for Fable 3 went free at some point. The dog breed potion DLC is also free for anyone who wants something that isn't a border collie.

Today, apparently. Peggle's last day free was the 25th and the On The House section is completely gone from both the Origin website and the Origin program. Going to the old URL now redirects you to the Origin Access subscription page.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone in EA's upper ranks found out they were giving away product for free and put a stop to it.

Destiny 2's core game is currently free on Blizzard's Battle.net app. Just log into the app and you'll see a gift notification in the top right. Just click it, hit claim, and you're good to go. The DLCs are not free, though, just the base game. However, the Forsaken expansion, currently $40 USD, also includes the other two expansions, if you're interested in that. No need to buy the bundles or the Legendary Edition, just the basic Forsaken thing.

Unfortunately, it looks like the game doesn't support crossplay, even between PC and Xbox. I'm kind of surprised how well it runs on my i5-750, though. That's well below both the minimum Intel and AMD CPUs posted. And to my great surprise, the default settings are a solid balance of performance and graphics for my system, which never happens. I'll definitely consider getting Forsaken.
