• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Hey all,

Kat Im glad your kid is ok - that is a big relief, I'm sure - I don't have any, so I can only guess at how horrible that must have been not knowing... I do get little panic attacks when I don't know where people are (only people I care about, like my girlfriend and my family) like if they said they would be home for such and such a time and then are late or what ever... but I cant compare that to how you must feel about your own offspring (hell, you guys shared a body for 9 months... so I guess you must be close, huh?)

I totally agree with TF that your mum didn't do the right thing there... Although you usually see that the ones that want to hurt you most are family or friends... total strangers just don't have the same impact...

It totally seems that Australia has incurred the wrath of the almighty for some reason... If I was an Aztec, I would be recommending some sort of human sacrifice? Perhaps your ex husband?:lol2: although... the gods might send him back... They might even take offense and send a Tsunami... so... on second thoughts... cancel the sacrifice...

One last thought; I'm sure I read somewhere that the threshold for pain due to temperature is something like 56 Celsius... You guys are pretty close to boiling in your own air... Better stock up on air con and ice cubes:thumbsup:

What is it with Australia and natural disasters lately? I think you guys are on the way to some record that nobody wants. I'll go look up rituals in-case any of you decide you want to try Dino's idea. I'll also work on a eulogy for Kat's ex, if sacrifice is what we go with.

And then again, it may be because he lives and has managed to survive everything that has been thrown at him that the gods are angry.... :p

I have a pretty high pain threshold and have weathered my fair amount of pain, even heat, tho I am unable to tolerate heat very well due to my auto-immune disorder I somehow manage to survive, the portable air con we have seems to trip the power whenever anything else is running, this house is old and needs a rewire we think... So cold showers and fans help out a bit.

Yeah its been pretty much bad and slowly getting worse every year... So far this summer we have had floods, fires and now extreme heatwaves and a cat5 cyclone... whats next? It has come over cloudy this morning but that is no promise of cooler weather and we still have a severe thunderstorm watrning over our heads as well. Bring on the storm! :lol2:

Hello:
Well, it is good that your so is good Katala, I hope things will improve for the people of Queensland soon.

As for disasters, well everywhere in the world have times with more of this kind of stuff happening, but it will pass, it has always been that way... and of course, not to listen to the people saying things about 2012 .

But it is good you are all doing better there.

It will eventually pass, only to be the turn for someone else. Last year we had a big earthquake, no way to know if we will get more anytime soon. If it is any in the north of Chile, then you'll all know it will affect me.
