• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Tryptic's Mod is a code/balance overhaul of Fleet Operations. Here's a brief description of the changes involved:

-Adjusted economies in which both Dilithium and Tritanium are important for all races
-Tweaked passives, Command bonuses added.
-Numerous bugfixes (Station torpedoes can now miss, for example)
-Upgraded AI with up to 6 build orders per race, randomly selected at game start (Dominion and Romulan are complete so far)
-Reworked code to make additional modding easier

Hey guys, I've just released Version 4.1.6 of TM, available at the link above. More importantly, this release is a big step in the direction of the Community Mod.

The goal of the Community Mod is to make it as easy as possible for anyone to add a ship or station. Players can choose to enable or disable Community Mod content when they start a game, so you can add literally anything you want. And after almost a full year of development, I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that TM 4.1.6 is the easiest version of Fleet Ops there has ever been for modding.

If anyone is willing, I'd really appreciate some feedback on my Instructions document, and if anything is confusing or inefficient. It's included in the TM download, but here is a copy as well.
