A news brief here-
Anousheh Ansari is the first female space tourist ever. It cost her $20 million USD to get on the rocket ride to the ISS. Russia's Soyuz rocket blasted off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan this Monday morning (04:09 GMT).
A few side notes about her are also interesting -
Anousheh Ansari became, as the rocket entered orbit, the first female space tourist, as well as the first female Muslim and the first Iranian in space (please note she is an American as well). Also, She was the driving force behind the Ansari-X prize, awarded in 2004 to Burt Rutan and Paul Allen's SpaceShipOne for the first commercial, sub-orbital spaceflight. Ansari is also leading a new foray into the space business with a company called Prodea, which is working with Virginia-based Space Adventures to develop a range of suborbital craft.
