My Favorite Non-Canon Starship? Majestic, you are truly an evil, evil person. Here I am trying to kick the flu and there you go giving me something
else to sweat over.
How dare you?
Actually, one comes to mind and I'd post the model of it, but I don't have it on this PC (at the Studio). Once I get to the house, I'll try to remember to post it.
It's a Romulan T'venverex-class Destroyer designed for SFC3. I think the guy who created it was wanting to make a "Prowler" (from HALO) for SFC because this little bugger was 99% undetectable. So long as you avoided speeding through dust clouds, explosions, etc. (Normal Cloaked Rules), BUT this cloak would actually work INSIDE Nebula Hexes and you could use the specialized Tri-Cobalt Mines while cloaked.
You could actually sit right on top of your enemy the entire game and they'd NEVER know you were there, provided you knew how to avoid being "flashed".
The guy who designed it only released it for a little time, but had to remove it since the ship itself pretty much altered every single game mechanic that applied to it, in violation of the EULA. (Plus the TCMs had the explosive yield of a supernova). It was a very nicely done ship, albeit a bit of a power gamer's dream.
It looked like a flattened Shadow from A2. The wings were stretched out so it was nearly as wide as a Sovereign was long, but as short as a Saber. The "head" module was reduced in size to make it appear to have a small, specialized crew. Two barely noticeable Warp Nacelles actually hung beneath the body itself, as opposed to the side where most Romulan Designs have them.
Since this was designed as a "Stealth Bomber", there are no Energy or Ballistic Hardpoints, outside of the two TCM Minelayers at the rear of the vessel.
