• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

While normal EF Holomatch games are classic FPS battles with a Star Trek twist, RPG-X (now on v2.1) servers are very different. Instead of putting the act of shooting and killing others on a pedastool, the server actually kicks you if you rack up two kills. As the name of the mod suggests, this turns Elite Force into a FP-RPG.

While their are weapons, they are class specific and for RPing purposes, not killing.

Classes (Those I recall off the top of my head, that is):
Command
Medical
Science
Engineering
Security
Marine
Civilian

Notes:
1.) In v2.1, your choosen class actually affects your uniform color.
2.) In v2.1, the rank you choose before joining the server will show up via the actual correct pip on the character model in-game.

Current Up-Dates (ie, add-ons):
1.) Extended ST ranks (while the new ones don't show up in-game on the character model's pips, they include provisional officers, warrent officers, and enlisted ranks).
2.) BSG rank set (also doesn't show up in-game as pips).
3.) U.S.S. Atlantis map: Said to be an Atlantis class ship, in-game diagrams (ie, MSD images) show it to be something like an Excalibur class (the refit, not the original Pendragon class (you can tell the difference primarily by saucer shape)). Pretty much every console on this map are interactive and do something, ranging from making noise to ejecting the warp core. As this is a large map, its suggested you have a lot of people on it for a proper RP session.

While I enjoy a good frag fest as the next guy, its quite fun to play on an RPG-X server. You choose your position and RP as that. Think of it as an MMORPG simulator.
