• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Finished Part 1 of the Big Finish audio story Dreamtime featuring the Seventh Doctor, Ace and Hex (played by Philip Olivier). Hex is an original Big Finish companion who was introduced in the previous Seventh Doctor/Ace Big Finish story The Harvest. This is Hex's first trip in the TARDIS.

This story is very appropriate to this forum which was founded by a fellow Australian as it takes on old Aboriginal stories hence its title Dreamtime and Uluru is featured in the story but in a surprising place (unless of course you have a look at the cover beforehand) and it has Australian actors in it.

The story also features the character Commander Korshal (Steffan Rhodri) whom writer Simon A Forward had introduced earlier in the spinoff Benny audio The Bone of Contention released in September 2004 six months before Dreamtime was released in March 2005. I have not listened to The Bone of Contention yet but ironically it is the next Benny audio I am planning to buy on my next opportunity.

As to Dreamtime, I quite like what I am hearing from the first episode as it is very intriguing.

Part 2:
The story brings back the Galyari who were introduced in the Sixth Doctor/Evelyn Big Finish story The Sandman also written by Simon A Forward. Since it has been a long while since I listened to The Sandman I completely forgotten about the Galyari and Dreamtime referenced back to that earlier story.
So far another smooth episode with a good cliffhanger.

Part 3:
Dreamtime is perhaps approriate for this episode because like any dream people tend to be bewildered on what they just dreamt of.
Part 3 was bewildering but on the plus side Sylvester McCoy brings a dark performance towards the end of this episode and the cliffhanger is not bad
with Ace being drowned reminiscent of the Fourth Doctor at the end of the season 14 serial The Deadly Assassin.

Part 4:
Very unsatisfactory conclusion. Despite being impressed with the first two episodes, the story has been let down by the last two episodes.
Since this is Hex's first audio adventure since joining the TARDIS crew, Philip Olivier did very well with what he has been given and look forward to hear more of him in future.
