There is no rank. However, there is reputation. Having a good one comes from being active, helpful and supportive towards other members, showing the respect you desire to others, and so on. Having good character is a start. It also helps to just be yourself. It is not necessary at all to try and impress anyone here with how smart you are, how well you can draw, how funny your jokes are or anything along these lines. There are things you do very well that some of us do not. So share them with us. This site is about the people, not the pics or the mods or the fanfics. Those are good because they come from good people.

Many treat other people on the Internet like they are less than human. Like they are not real. Happily this does not go on here as it does other places on the Web. Really easy to start being a troll. Too easy, sometimes. Using someone else's bad behavior as an excuse makes it even easier to continue. Harder to stop. Harder still to not start acting out in the first place.

So just be yourself. Sounds too simple, don't it? Like most really important things in life, it is simple. As long as we allow to remain so.

Oh, I remember school.... yeah, my backpack was heavy as well and I did not even dare to touch overcooked school food. Always brought my own!
I really feel for you. School was not much entertainment, but in the end I should have listened up now and then.

I forgot: Welcome to MSFC. You will meet a lot of intersting people here. Hellkite for example flew aircraft at speeds of at least Mach 1.5. Thunderfoot was hauling heavy steel armour through Iraq back in 1991. Myself I drive at ridiculous speeds through towns and villages saving people. And Majestic and Syf are basically the best heads of any internet site EVER.
You will interact with people from all over the world. Just look at the flags on the left side of our posts.

If you have a question about something here, feel free not only to ask your dad, but you can also message anyone from the staff and we will happily help you out.
Hey, when I was doing my history exams back in school, people here on MSFC helped me out, pointed towards mistakes and motivating me.


You should be really, really glad that you have a dad that is showing you how "the internet" works. It is important, as the internet is getting more and more important even in the most faraway corners of the world.

Tell ya what. You post some of the things you find difficult here and I will try to help out. Better still, so we don't clutter the boards with spam, PM me if you simply cannot find the things you need. Mind you, I've no intention of doing your stuff for you. I already passed 6th grade. A very long time ago. lol But I don't think your Dad would mind too much if I pointed you in the right direction. Think of me as an online tutor who can occasionally help. I have a BA in Military History. But this is a bit misleading. University of Maryland had some very broad requirements for this degree which included Introductory Political Science and Introductory Psychology I'm also known to be handy with the English language from time to time. Helps a lot that I speak it.

Easy to complain, "It's hard!" and start to slack off. Sweat, not genius, produces results. And at the end, when you've mastered something which most see as difficult, you have the satisfaction of achieving something which most cannot.

I know that if you do your best and do the work that you will have A's. Your injury to your hand did not make you unable to do anything. Your hand will never be an excuse for anything. That is starting to sound like the other side of the family. You don't need that view in life.
