Hey all, or anyone interested. I've been wrapping up the stock A2 version of the Upgrade Project mod and taking a break worked on my personal Star Wars Fleet Command combined with Major Payne's Clone Wars Mini mod and have been trying my hand at map making.
These maps are for SW: Fleet Command so will have planets named accordingly and they'll use stock A2 assets so anyone can use them. They'll mostly be 2 player since there are only 2 races however, some maps will be 4 player to let you play teams. I'm basing them on maps from Star Wars so some will be smaller focusing around the Core worlds perhaps one or so in the Deep Core all the way out to the Outer Rim.
I don't want huge maps so some stretch of the imagination will be needed with the fitment of planets. I don't think I want any bigger than 30K x 30K. I know some stock A2 maps are around 25K x 25K. Anyway, not to stray off topic, I'm still working on them, but wanted to get some ideas of what others like in maps when they play. They really won't be perfectly balanced equal resources/distances/etc. type maps and I know every world isn't an M class, but like I said I have to stretch things for game play here and there. So if you have ideas, suggestions, things you like in a map I'd love to hear them and get some critique on the ones I release. Thanks in advance.
