• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Looks good Adam, I myself am starting to get into GIF animations as well as thinking about starting more complicated .avi animations. :)

Dont Worry Majestic, Once you start .avi you realize it's much easier than the gif is. Well....depends on how you do it really but any who. I really perfer 3d animation but nothing i've come out with has met my standerds so I just kinda mess with it.

Good luck with .avi

Hurray for sounds. (about the only diference between .gif and .avi is on has sound and one doesn't)

Just been searching for a program that will actually do it and is freeware as quick to learn. Not much luck so far.

I use GIMP to make .gif animations. I've been playing around with a program called Blender. It has a lot of animation features in it. I haven't explored everything so I dont know but it's freeware and can make some brilliant models and renderings.

Yeah I have blender as well. Haven't used it yet. One of the main features I want it to have is allowing imports (of models) when doing animations.
