• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

    Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

    We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Not sure how many people watch American Major League Baseball. I do not watch it but when I heard this story I thought it was amazing. The Texas Rangers played the Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday 8-22-07. At the beginning of the 4th inning, Baltimore was winning 0 to 3. Then, Texas scored 5 in the 4th, 9 in the 6th, 10 in the 8th, and 6 in the 9th. By game end, Texas had won 30 to 3. They hit 2 grand slams in the game. This is the first time in 110 years of Major League Baseball that a team has scored 30 points.

What I find amazing is that Texas scored 30 in only 4 innings. They were outscored by 3 points in the other 5 innings. This just seemed so unbelievable that I had to share it.

I remember seeing a glimpse of that score before I went to sleep 4 hours ago and I must say I was completely and utterly shocked. I've never thought of the Rangers as 'good' but they just did something amazing, either that or all the Orioles pitchers were having bad days... :excited:

For a score like that... I think it had to be a combination of great days for the rangers and bad days for the Baltimore pitchers.

I'm still hoping and praying that my Chicago Cubs get the World Series pennant this year. It's been a freakin' century!

Anyone ever seen the special Wait Til Next Year : The Story of the Chicago Cubs? I did and I cried like a baby because they've been robbed and cheated so many times.

Anybody who loves the Cubbies , can I get a "THIS YEAR!!"

How many games does it take the Cubs to score 30 points? I ask that mainly to keep this thread on topic. LOL. My brother used to be a big cubs fan. I though it was funny that the year of the last strike. I remember hearing that all the "experts" thought that the Cubs would win it all that year but there was the strike. But I guess asking how long it takes any team to score 30 is like asking how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie roll lollipop. LOL According to the owl, three. LOL...I am really aging myself now. :lol2: :lol2:

How many games are there in a season , again?

But still , Texas rocked the poo out of Baltimore. I'll bet the Team Owner was like :shock: "They can do that? Where have I been?"
