1. Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

If you're using Chrome, I think there's a way to bypass it. I haven't used Chrome since it became unreliable, but I know there is a way around it.

Well I just tried the site again and it loaded YAY. I always find myself looking back through all those threads for info, advice, inspiration. I just hope it's not temporary that it's loading.

Is there any way with the forums to do something like Doca Cola did have it accessible somewhere else in case it really does ever go away? Can you do that with a forum site?

I was messing around with that Hellkite, but the only problem (unless I have no idea how to operate it) is that it only loads the first page of each forum. On the site itself you can choose to load every thread from the beginning of the site, but using the way back machine it says it can never find the page when I try it. Hope that makes sense?

If they gave me a backup of their forum database, I could use my old vBulletin software which I have a lifetime subscription and restore in on the MSFC servers. Other than that, no to my knowledge there wouldn't be anyway to do it.

Oh god. I went through the forums looking for stuff I might want to archive, just in case this happens again (maybe permanently even). And I got hit with nostalgia shock again. Argh, it's so strong... :(

This is a sad time, I will miss A2files. Modders had released a lot of Different Mods to this site that I downloaded and put to use in my Armada Fleet. I was lucky enough to back all the Mods I use for my game.

    RIP A2files

Yes, us A2 folks are certainly a dying breed. The Long Night has come, but we're still here and we'll stick together until the very end. In this little corner of the web, the A2 community lives on. I'm so happy that all of you are here with me. :)

Yep, two things. One, the Axanar ships were never on A2Files so this is definately the wrong place to ask. Two, and more importantly, the Terms of Service which you probably should take a quick look at. Here's the bit about downloads.

    Downloads
To be eligible to download files, the user must be a participating member of the community and is required to post an introduction thread in the introduction section of the forums and post at least 30 posts of decent size (mass amounts of single or 3 worded posts within a very small time frame will be deleted as this is noted to rapidly increase your post count just to gain access to downloads and is also considered to be spam), be active for 7 days and have made some contribution (ie, participate in discussion on the forums) to the MSFC community and have a like count of at least 3 which can only be gained by other members liking your posts, if you are still waiting after a substantial amount of time, please PM a staff member, who will give you the rep required. No excuses will be accepted for not knowing, because if you are unaware, then you have breached the site rules by not reading and abiding by them and will be subject to the warning procedure outlined at the bottom of this page.
