What would it be? When (and Where) would it be set? How would it turn out?
Assuming that at some point in the next few years, another Star Trek series were to be released, what would you like to see in it? I wouldn't mind seeing a bit of TLE (The Lost Era), this being the time between the USS Enterprise-A and the USS Enterprise-D, so I suppose, in the Ent-B & Ent-C time frame.
However, as it appears to have gone via Enterprise, generally, fans aren't a big fan of prequels, thus I doubt we'd see a full seven series run from anything based back then. Plus, we wouldn't really be able to have much to do with the Cardassians, and the Romulans would practically be non existant, due to the knowledge that they've been silent for a long long time (TNG).
Therefore, the most logical course of action, would be to go forward in time. The question then, would be how far forward would we go? I'd like to say following on from Nemesis. Unless they do something in the form of a movie (which I doubt), it seems Nemesis has left us on a cliff hanger, with many questions unanswered.
It could be a show based on a new Luna Class Starship (supposibly the class Riker's USS Titan is), though this would not be the Titan. And as before, with TOS and TNG, I would hope that the show be based around exploration, maybe within the Gamma Quadrant? - A number of Starfleet ships out exploring the Gamma Quadrant I think would be a good idea. It is vastly unexplored, and I doubt the Dominion own it all.
It would be nice to see a few Jem Hadar / Dominion ships throughout the show too, letting us, and everyone else know how and where the Dominion now stand. In addition, as with Voyager, the show could start on DS9, that way, we'd get to see some of the show regulars too (if they're up for the task).
Anyway, thats just my thoughts. I'd like to know yours.
