The Var'yaH class is a cruiser that entered Klingon service prior to the Vor'cha class. Some units functioned as a testbed for the new technologies, but most ships were fitted with the contemporary Klingon military technology. As other Klingon ships the Var'yaH has reinforced reactive duranium armor, additionally to the standard duranium ship hulls.
