Hello, and thank you for downloading this. I have grown to detest the Stock textures for the planets in A2 over the years. Especially when they are in the background of a shot of one K-Merse's, Aad's. Majestic's or Jetfreak's wonderful looking ships. All right. You got me. I am an eye candy addict. I like Yacuzza's Midnight Universe. I wanted some planets which were worthy of such a background. After searching diligently for about a week or so, I found these beautifully drawn textures by a fellow named Robert Stein III. They are freeware under the Creative Commons Attribution v3.0 United States License. They are far better than anything else I've seen in a long time and with some slight tweaks and a little hex editing of the Stock planet SODs and ODFs, it was easy to make them available for A2.
