• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Boramae Class

A2 Boramae Class 1.0

"As the Excelsior Class became the current standard for Starfleet designs, various offshoots were drafted to capitalize on emerging technologies and capabilities. The Boramae Class was completed by the dawn of the 24th Century, to fulfill the requirements of the NGPA (Next-Gen Perimeter Action) Program. Built alongside its Centaur sibling, the Boramae is the heavier and more complex of the two. Utilizing a novel tri-nacelle approach that gives a unique appearance. This is accentuated by aggressively swept pylons mated to a traditional saucer build. Overall, the Boramae Class emerged as a highly capable rapid response asset that approaches the capabilities of designs like the Georgiou at 60% of the cost. Starfleet plans a 3:1 ratio of Centaur and Boramae units to be built over the next decade as older Perimeter Action vessels are retired."

Another personal project of mine, the Boramae Class is my reimagining of the rather ungainly tri-nacelle kitbash from the DS9 Technical Manual. I wanted it to come from the Lost Era and improve upon that general concept. I consciously played up the Enterprise-B elements to show that other designs had taken up that particular aesthetic. Most of the modeling aspect came with perfecting the wing-sweep and proportions. I wanted a bird like stance that could go head to head with the Romulans and other baddies.

Special thanks to starfox1701 for the additional mesh/texture merging and adding the complex hp map.
