Yesteryears Voice Actors

I am looking ahead and there is the need for several voice actors to do various voice overs for the mod before it's released.

There are various races that require all new voices for both combat and non-combat units plus several hero units that will feature in the campaign.

Out of all the races, the Gorn, Terrans and the 4th Race require a full set of voices thats 13 sets per race roughly, though the Terrans may be able to use a few Federation voices that Syf has sent me. The Klingons, Romulans and Federation will mainly use the stock voices though I may edit them slightly to give them more originallity.

I am also looking into editing a few of the stock voices to change them into different sounding voices for the new races.

The meaning of this thread is recuritment, I am wanting to make a list of who is interested in helping out so I know how many more people we need to find.

Also people who can put on different accents would be really valuable as well as people who can deepen their voices.

So whos up to helping out Yesteryears and getting their names and voices in the mod?

I am interested in this. Also, I do go to a broadcasting school. If you have a list of certain quotes you want. I would be able to use one of the studios there to make some mp3 recordings. Also, I might be able to recruit a couple friends there to do voices. If they do. I could get names for you to give credit to. Some of them do great voices. Then the only question would be. Would you want the individual sayings separate or all in one mp3 file. I could do either.

Thanks Crazyfrog, the more the better as there are quite a few voices required.

Having them in separate sound files is best as that is how Armada 2 works. Mp3 files are fine as well as I will convert them myself into wavs.

I currently don't have any quotes as at the moment I am looking for people interested in lending their voices for the mod.

Many of the voice quotes I won't have until near the end of the production of Yesteryears when I make the campaign.

I myself will be doing the voiceover for the Captain of the Enterprise-B but there are plenty more hero voices required as well as regular unit voices which can be done earlier.

Well, when it comes time. Just let me know what you need and I will probably be able to find someone to do it. Also, having access to 10 recording studios helps alot too. LOL...... I will check around for interest and maybe see if a few people want to record something to let you hear. DO a single mp3 with multiple voice tracks to let you decide if you like them first. The only reason I offered mp3 files is b/c of the higher quality. We will see how it goes.

Well, I would like to help, but my voice isn't very pretty and you must remember that my main language is spanish and not english
I must say that you must be careful about the voices on the mysterious 4º race, because you don't want the surprise to be spoiled, right?

We do need many new Terran voices, as for Federation, there aren't many we need. And those we do we pretty much have done.

Voice actors won't be called upon until later down the road during the creation of the campaign. Right now I am trying to get a list of people willing to lend their voices for the project, thats the purpose of this thread.
